I feel sorry for all of you who got sucked into paying for swag (again) and even more so for those who wasted several days of their life participating online only to be disappointed.

I just like to remember the times when it was fun and not an overdone marketing slog riding on the coattails of what it once way.

Also, it was cool when it actually featured horror products made by Sideshow.

I remember those days too. And all of the great LOTR WETA pieces I bought on really good discounts, and way back in the day when Sideshow offered coupons with orders. My how times have changed.

See, now that's actually one of the more disappointing aspects of this year's Spook to me.

In the past, I felt compelled to stick around the computer for hours on end...there were times I could barely keep up with this thread, I'd go away for a couple of minutes and there would be 3 new pages. This year? I can step out for lunch...watch T.V. for a couple of hours...check in, enter a new contest, read the 12 new posts here and go about my business.

There's no sense of urgency. Or maybe it's just me.

It's not just you. Spook kinda just sucked this year, and was missing ALOT of what made it special. Kinda like Sideshow's SDCC this year.
