It's not just you. Spook kinda just sucked this year, and was missing ALOT of what made it special. Kinda like Sideshow's SDCC this year.

The Chat for SDCC was still like the old times with a lot of bull____ting and laughs, this time it feels a little flat. Yeah Spook kind of sucked this years not just because I didn't win but because it felt really phoned in by SCC, almost like they had other things to do but kep Spook on the calendar because it was already announced. I have been really enjoying the Mort comic though.

It seems like promo words are in the Ministry and decoders in galleries while the QR codes everyone was freaking about seem to be few and far between....

It is an awesome looking piece even with the Shamon pelvic thrust. The Demogoblin change o head is nice touch too but there is no way in hell that is even close to 1/4, in fact looking porportionally it looks to be slightly smaller than 1/5 if not right there so it won't fit in with even the Spidey Comiquette which is closer to 1/4 so its a pass.

We could always do other things and leave spook to the new people they want to snag. yet, here we are...

This was the first year since they've been having them that I didn't buy a kit. I knew it'd be different. Sideshow should be IMHO using their Twitter and FB to bring people to the site. Do everything there. We've already got douches on the FB page who won fantastic prizes but are complaining about not receiving it until next year and want more, I don't think that is who Sideshow was trying to attract even if they'll willingly take their cash. I participated in Spook because it was fun every year with the mad searches on the site for stuff, being able to help out here and not having to check three different FB pages, a Twitter, the site, chat as well as hitting up affliates for promo words? Its really spread too thin and I won't be really partcipating over the weekend. Its a different feel and at this point I won't even be participating in the Scavenger Hunt (one of my favorite things) for a prize I would LOVE! because I'm kind of Spook'd out to the point I don't really care anymore.

Might hit up chat here and there but after the long week especially yesterday after all of that build up that fell kind of flat Spook is over for me. Hopefully next year's will get back to basics...and be shorter.

You know, considering how many times I've sent people to the ministry, you'd think I'd be smart enough to check there myself.
