"BOOOOM HEADSHOT!...now respond....respond....c'mon dammnit respond! LAG!"

Ok.....a bit uh...mean...but I had too.

I think people like him should be locked up or at the very least be under extensive therapy for good part of their lives. It seems to me that his parents didn't teach him very well of whats right and whats wrong. I let my 12 yr bro play games like GTA & god of war, cause he knows right from wrong and teaching this to young ones is responsibility of an older sibling as well as a parent imo.

I just thought of something though... this story, as tragic as it is, may be one sided. We have no idea about what was happening at home or how he was treated. There really is only a simple motivation and the event.

We can't really understand the situation with the information that we have been given. Not justifying his actions but I do feel as though there must be more to this story.

Is always the way though, is why the media is such a big fan of scape goats. It's quick it's easy and doesn't require much thought.

Like when they blamed Marilyn Manson after Columbine even though they shooters didn't even like him.

I believe that is Jaws from the old Bond movies..........

He is, he is also Mr. Lawson from a little film called Happy Gilmore where he attends the tournament with a bright orange shirt that reads "Guns don't kill people, I kill people". It was a throwback (abeit a wasted one) to any Sandler fans in here...

I wonder if he teabagged her afterwords....

Well if he is like most Halo 3 players he attempted to teabag but ended up just teabagging air about a foot away from the actual dead body while cheering and laughing all the while not aware of how much of a ********* he looks like to other player.

Most definitely there were other factors... it is funny that we look for a sound bite rather than what might have been the real factors. A game may have been the tipping point, but it wasn't the root cause.

Although, really finding causes (as if you ever really can) sure is a messy business, saying it was because of a video game is much simpler :lol

You have a point, but in the end he did commit murder and there's no excuse for that unless it was in self-defense.

If video games are to blame the whole world is screwed because I play Defcon, it's like Risk only with Nuclear Combat.

I've never seen someone killed with a copy of Super Mario Bros

I understand it's part of the American Constitution and such a normal part of life for some Americans. Here it's not and to have a child who's obviously mentally unbalanced know where the gun is and how to get access to it shows that maybe a little more gun control might be in order.

I don't want to start a flame war or anything like this, it's just an opinion from a country where we have very strict laws on gun control. To me it's shocking when you can go into Wal*Mart and get a rifle, but you can't get a CD with swearing on it.

I do approve of the U.S.'s stance on alcohol though, is too easy for kids here to get that.

I have no idea who that is :lol
Must feel pretty secure knowing that you are completely safe from violence since guns were banned.

I'm glad my country isn't even on the map. Australia for the winnnnnnn. :banana

The headline is written to shock the reader and is misleading. The story shows little research, which sadly is becoming more and more commonplace in this age of ultra fast communications. What communication when the story gets slanted so easily.

Just from viewing Mike's posted laws, and it's similar around the world, there is a backlog of superfluous and redundant laws right around the world. The people in power ought to clean up their acts instead of leaving a mire of mine fields and loopholes clogging up the already overburden legal systems. People want justice served up hot and tasty not cold and mashed.

What's ironic about this, is that HALO 3 really isn't even that violent. There are no dismemberments, no blood, no body parts flying around. It's all wearing the body armor. Hell, even Bioshock is more violent than Halo 3.

You can count...on me waiting for you in the parking lot

I had a 17 year old girls body dumped 10 minutes from where I live and the ^^^^ ran to India. I know no one's safe.
I've been beaten up myself and one of my ex-gf's got bottled in the face for no reason and she has a metal pin holding her cheek together.
I've had a firework put through my letterbox.

But no matter how many shootings there are, it's never the fault that there's a gun involved. An item that has no other purpose than to kill something.
