Re: Sideshow/ Olivetti - Venom Comiquette

Ditto. I prefer him more like a monster than a slightly twisted version of Spidey in his black costume.

Yeah, that's right :yess:

And when you want the tiny spidey just in a black costume just get the Back in Black Spider-man...

As far as I'm concerned, he wouldn't be Venom if he didn't look like a monster. The com just nailed his look IMHO.

Just got Venom Exclusive #280 off a fellow Boardie! He gave me a pretty good price too.

It doesn't matter how much times I see this piece. It stuns me every damn time.

Congrats Nicknack, it's a thing of beauty! :duff

Nice pick up NickNack. I've had mine for a few weeks now and it still looks stunning every time I see it.

Re: Sideshow/ Olivetti - Venom Comiquette

I'll finally say it. I've been holding it in for fear of ridicule.
I don't like this statue. In fact, I dislike most of Olivetti's designs.
I prefer the classic McFarlane/Bagley version of the character.

That isn't even Olivetti's design. Agree with you about Bagley. That is my favorite Venom :clap

This comiquette still rocks though so :pfft:

Thanks Everyone! I've been wanting to get this bad boy for awhile, but didn't want to spend the cash. I finally broke down and sold some stuff to get him. I couldn't pass him up. He looks fantastic with Carnage. I have some artwork in mind of Carnage and Venom that I am going to have my mother paint up for me. I will post pictures of my updated collection once that happens. It will be awesome.
I wasn't expected to get an EX, but Chocoboy83 gave me an offer I couldn't refuse!

You're entitled to your opinion, and you shouldn't be afraid to express it, that being said... you're just a handful that feel that way and the amount the statue is selling for on the market says that it's a hit. I love it to death, and love the way he's portrayed in this sculpt as a monster.
