i defn would cancel the ex if it looks like that, how is it that all the other prints made actually look like art, but this looks like someone took a pic of the statue and whipped it up on a pc in like 5 minutes

OK, i'm gonna get shot for saying this, but I prefer the Bowen one. IMO it has a better base and pose. BUT i'll still get the SS one as well

you wont get shot for that, The Bowen one is a pretty bad ass statue too.

i've got it also, though the main reason i collect spidey bowen villians is that ssc will never get around to making all of them, so i'm stuck with bowen.

You wont say that when you see the SSC Venom in person. it's probably the best comiquette I've seen in person.

I just canceld my exclusive... good luck to whoever is on the wait list. The print is just terrible and it will be easy to get the reg cheaper down the line.

Short summary of thoughts of my thoughts on Venom:
Statue is amazing (I did see it in person)
I love that the Gore Group injected their own flourishes into the sculpture, it is clearly NOT identical to the art, for the (very much) better!
Not to diminish Ariel's art-- the combination of the two came together for something quite wonderful.
I actually like the art itself (people think they could do better? Let's see it!), but the photoshop gradient red background has got to go. Just plain white would be a ten fold improvement.

Sideshow, PLEASE READ THIS! The red background is horrible.
While I prefer McFarlane's Venom to all others, this representation is great and the simple difference of Ariel's no-lip mouth really stands out.

does anyone know if sideshow allows transferring rewards points from order to another?
i used my points for the exclusive but with that sorry print, i'd rather cancel the exclusive and get the regular for much cheaper price.

I think there are way too many assumptions that even the regular would be had for "MUCH" cheaper. Honestly I don't see that happening. No one denies the statue is amazing so I don't see a lot of these going for cheap to be honest. At most it will be at retail price for a long time on the secondary market. If the prod pictures look as good or better I do not see a lot of cancellations on this one.

Guys, I'm sure the print will look much better when they are done. The red is killing it right now. Hell, even I can make a better print than that (and I have no idea what I'm doing, lol!), so I'm sure they will do a fantastic job once the background is in place.

I'm going to do the same, it will save me about $80.
Just canceled my Ex. order and reordered with razorsedge for 224.99...I'm just not a fan of the print and don't really care about the ES vs the cool nature of the statue itself. I'd rather save some money on this one for a future sideshow purchase..

Here's something I worked up really quick in Photoshop to show the difference of a background. I wouldn't worry... by the time the print comes out, i'm sure it will look great.
