Obviously I'm partly to blame. Never said I wasn't , I just find it frustrating the way ebay works. After 60 days you can't go back and check your old auctions easily. Instead I have to email abc express and ask them about certain things. They tend to get confused easily too.

Anyway this is how it has worked out. They have sent me a Joker instead of another figure. Were not sure which one yet ( got a lot on order from them due in round about now ).
I told them what I sold it for and they simply said they will give me the figure they should of sold me for that price delivered.
Good customer service. There are alot of things on ebay that could be improved though.

Well I'm not going to judge hicks here.

I will say Creecher has a point about the blacklist. From the rumblings I've heard, Ebay is going to start cracking down on secondary IDs ( this would be something they will do to punish sellers even more, but buyers will also feel the brunt of this)

Given that the Block Bidders List is the only thing Ebay hasn't taken away from sellers yet, and that there are more and more sites looking to cater to expanded block lists, hicks runs a good chance of getting stonewalled by not just ABC Express down the road, but other major sellers for the longhaul. Big sellers have a lot more to lose out there, they will have the most incentive to subscribe to bulk block lists.

hicks, you can do what you want, I won't judge you on it, its your stuff and your life, I will say that by making this all public, you are making yourself to appear as a potentially unreliable person to deal with in the future for other board members here. Whether you think that's fair or not is moot, that's going to be the perception of some people, many privately, and that's just how it's going to be.

I don't believe in karma, and I don't know if karma qualifies here. I will say the ultimate difference between right and wrong is what you can sleep with at night. What you can and can't sleep with has nothing to do with me.

GG

If another board member sent me something by mistake and let me know or I found out obviously I would send it them back. When I get a figure show up at my door with no idea where it came from , no one has told me anything and I already have it I'm gonna sell it.
I also thought it was from an order which I presumed I had canceled. The chances of it being anything else really were low. Sadly it was.

I had ever only heard of ABC EXPRESS sending out extra things by mistake after I sold it. If I seen this before I would of asked them first.
Now I know if I ever get another sent to me I will know to ask the stores I have dealt with.

They actually expect you to pay the postage to send there mistaken figures back to them too as well as paying the extra to get the correct figure sent back to you !. To send a parcel with this kind of weight to Japan can be like $60.00 and that still takes a month.

As I said anyway if it ever happens again I will ask them before I do anything with the figure. I had just never thought companys do this and presumed it was one of my old orders , where else would it of come from if I had not heard of them sending out jokers by mistake.
Plus I noticed it was from Japan since the other company I ordered the canceled one was from there.

It was simply a mistake on both our halves. I personally feel theres more. They sent out the wrong figure , never told me a figure was coming to me and only let me know when I asked them. If I didn't this would of led in me not getting one of my figures on order from them because they thought this joker was it. That would of caused alot more confusion.
Ahh well... anyway. If anyone ever gets any unexpected figures make sure its not a mistake with one of your pre orders.
If they would of wanted me to pay for the figure to be honest I simply can't afford it. I just spent alot of cash last night in an unexpected emergency too. :monkey1

I can definitely sleep at night with making an honest mistake. :peace:cool:

Damn, this has been an interesting thread...Hicks may have '****ed' a little during this situation however lets not start pointing fingers and veiled accusations at him because he's one of the main stand up guys on these boards. I trust him 100% and i'm not the only one who'd vouch for him either. You live and learn from experiences like this, and I think it was honesty on his part for bringing this matter to our attention. I also think it raises some pretty serious questions and doubts about this whole ebay pre order malarky...I myself fell into the trap of pre ordering Ironman, the Tumbler, Batpod etc back in early summer and i've been in constant (self caused) anxiety ever since. This i imagine will continue until their release at the end of the year...my point is that this highlights the potential pit falls I think we can expect.

This is a perfect example of why you should NEVER preorder items from Ebay sellers.

Stick to online stores. It's a lot safer and easier.

I would never pre-order an item from the Bay, far too risky imo

Seconded. I preordered from an eBay seller exactly once, and will never do it again. Very nerve-wracking when the item was delayed several times and they have your money.

Hicks is a good guy, no doubt about it.

sideshow wont accept me card. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2
I wouldn't use crappy ebay otherwise. :monkey2:rotfl
yeah they wont accept mine either mate, so i know where your coming from.
Cant remember if you are 17/18(forgive me my memory is shot) but if you are 18 you can get a pre-paid mastercard for things such as this.
I used to have to rely on using my friends Visa if i wanted to buy directly from SS as dont have a CC and they dont take paypal or my bank cards.

I found this site, its through one of the big banks (cant remember which)and you have all the benefits of a mastercard(international shopping) and its pre-paid, so just make seure you got the money in and your set.

I'll be using it for the first time with SS for the HB PF I think but look here:

...see what you think, it may solve your problem mate
