Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

very true man. Idk I don't ask for PERS but when it's there I use it. I think it's a fun feature especially with a figure like this that can't turn it's head. But even though I like it, i'm not one of those that asks for PERS on every figure they like, like those ppl on the HT FB page do :lol

PERS is what ruined HT Indiana Jones.

Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

:goodpost:
yep so do I. I love PERS. what's the point of having it if you're not going to use it? :dunno

To each there own I guess , I'm just the type of person who would pose there figure once and leave it alone, only ever changing a pose on a rare occasion, less chance of breaking something if I leave them alone, and according to Omg the removal of the head and cape is very easy so it probably wouldn't be that difficult a task to get at the pers if they had it accessed under the cowl, but personally I feel they should have made the pers accessible trough the cavity behind the mouth.

-1 piece Rubber suit

-500D

Is it rubber or more of a vinyl type? Michae Crawford reviewed it and he said ii felt more like vinyl/rubbr, something that was different then the rubber they have been using up to this point.

I do agree with that. I don't think Indy needed PERS like many ppl do. I don't own the figure though so I'm just going by pics that I've seen.

:exactly:

we all like different things, nothing wrong with that :)

I'm constantly changing poses with my figures so PERS does come in handy. Sometimes its just changing the position of the eyes that can make all the difference to me. But I have learned my lesson to lessen the amount of times I do mess with the PERS ith the recent breakage of my DX01 Joker. I fixed it but I'm more cautious now than before.

That's me, pose it once and leave it alone. I figure the less handling the longer it with last. I kind of played with my toys like that as a kid. Would dress up my G.I. Joe's or Captain Action and them play with them in my head. Looking at them and imagining them in action in fantastic scenarios. My toys lasted for every, till I gave them to my little brothers. They lasted a week. :monkey2

Yes as fun as pers can be we must remember these are still collectibles and there is nothing worse then breaking a collectible figure!:horror, however I believe pers have become sturdier with each release, understandable that there was so many reported broken pers on the dx01 as that was the first pers system by hot toys.

Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

if the pers control can only be accessed by opening the cowl using the same method like the DX02 and then it gets broken, then how are you gonna fix it?

think about it...

Not a problem for me, like I said I rarely use pers for that exact reason.

If Hot toys put the pers access at the back of his head (In doing so sacrificing the look of the suit) to make it easier for folks to fix the pers if it breaks then they obviously don't have much faith in there own product, think about that.

OMG does it again!

Need-this-figure-yesterday. :thud:

Wow, didn't know this forum was so full of engineers, or something... :lol

Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

Beautiful pictures, great work! Looking at these pics makes the wait for my figure unbearable.

It's a discussion board. Express your opinions and let other express theirs. Simple concept.

Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

Looking at many of these pics, especially with the head tilted a bit, you can see the seam of the PERS hatch. Granted, it's probably not going to be noticed in the really real world, but it should've been a bit smaller & more strategically placed.

Bats should be displayed above eye level for best results.

Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

Does the cape cover the back of his head?

No?

Still canceled.

Re: DX09 Keaton Batman - OMG Photo Review

...the removal of the head and cape is very easy so it probably wouldn't be that difficult a task to get at the pers if they had it accessed under the cowl...
Unlike The Dark Knight, the cowl also holds the cape onto the figure. Every time you wanted to use the PERS you'd have to remove the head and the cape, then futz the cape back into a presentable state after re-attaching both. Sounds like a pain.

...but personally I feel they should have made the pers accessible trough the cavity behind the mouth.
Is that something they've done in the past? I don't see how the mouth could connect if the PERS controls were behind it.
