That is the best SSC Hulk PF made as far as I'm concerned. It truly is an EPIC piece. However, as I stated before, finances and space only allow me to have one Hulk PF in my collection. As great as the G Hulk is, I'm looking for a more traditional modern Hulk for my collection. Since I'm resigned to the fact that I'm passing on this new Hulk PF...I'm really hoping SSC goes with a straight modern take on the next one. And I can only pray SSC turns the whole project over to Gore Group. Having Martin on the entire project would be a dream come true since his G Hulk and green COM are the only SSC Hulks that I think look phenomenal.

For me, it's the other way around. I have no love for any Kirby inspired Hulk. A Kirby face portrait just kills any Hulk statue for me everytime. It will always be modern or nothing for me. That's why I LOVE the COM and think G Hulk looks EPIC. I easily passed on the 1st PF when it went up for order, unfortunately I'll do the same on the 2nd PF for the exact same reason. If SSC releases a kick @$$ modern Hulk PF in the future then I'm all in. I hope it happens. This way everyone can display whatever version of the Hulk they like most. It's win-win that way and SSC can make $$$ on yet another Hulk PF.

Who knows? Maybe this has been SSC's plan all along. They are missing serious aftermarket $$$ on the original PF. This allows them to tap into that market. Then later on down the line they'll release a 3rd PF which will be a modern PF. That way, they pick up all the leftover peeps like me who want nothing to do with a Kirby/old school Hulk. This will allow them to cover all of their bases and their bottom line as well.

Idol threats never get anyone anywhere... You are pretty much saying, " If you don't give us what we want, now, there's a good chance down the road we might buy this for someone's commission head, then eventually also buy the next hulk pf that is a modern rendition."

Just the fact that you are getting so upset by this shows SS they got you as a customer, and maybe you'll be the next one...

No buddy. That was literally the most difficult pass I have had in a long time. I LOVE the planet Hulk storyline. I own every issue. The problem I'm having nowadays is space. Like most everyone, sooner or later you run out of space or money (or both). Also, I want to be careful when dropping $600 on characters. That's not a habit I want to get into. I already POd the Apocalypse PF and I didn't want to add another $600 tab on a version of a large character that isn't traditional.

I really only have space for one Hulk PF in my collection. I'm saving that spot for a more traditional modern Hulk PF. I will say though, I'll be seriously jelly when everyone is posting pics and admiring their G Hulks when he starts to ship. That PF is truly a masterpiece IMO. That's why I'm really hoping Martin will be working on a modern Hulk PF if SSC goes that route someday. I have a feeling he'll nail it. Look at the Skaar PF. Everything he seems to do is golden. I can't think of a better talent to put on the project.

I must admit I much prefer the CQ Hulk to the original PF. If that was a PF I would be going mad for it. The CQ pose is awesome

Oh Yeah, if the Com was 1/4 scale it would have been an AWESOME PF. It is a ridiculously cool looking sculpt. It hits all the notes I like about the character. Power, rage, motion, and a dynamic pose. Again, this just goes to each of our own individual tastes and preferred artistic styles. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to what we like individually. Peeps that like the old school Hulk now have 2 PFs to choose from. It's high time SSC seriously thinks about releasing a modern Hulk PF. I'm sure there are many of us that would jump on that version of the Hulk.

I am dissapointed people don't like it. Don't get me wrong I'm fine with that I just really do like this. That side on shot of the profile really sold it for me. It reminded me of the comics so much.

Wow. With very little tweaking that raging Rulk head would have been perfect for a modern green PF. Let's hope we get something along this line in the next green PF because this new green PF is signed sealed and delivered as an old school PF. While this isn't the Hulk you or I want, a lot of peeps are going to enjoy adding this piece to their collection. As frustrating as it is for us, we have no choice but to wait.
