That can't be a surprise. Many peeps have stated their preference for a modern Hulk on multiple occasions between the release of the 1st PF and this one. I can't believe SSC isn't aware of this. As for a custom head sculpt, nothing has been made and I'm not paying possibly $600 for this PF on the leap of faith that I'll like any possible custom head sculpt after the fact. I'll be done venting soon. Then I'll go back to waiting yet again.

Of course I didn't ignore what you said Snad. It appears you missed my point. I'm not going to purchase a $600 PF with a leap of faith that someone will make a head sculpt to my liking after the fact. What if I don't like it? I have never really liked commissioned pieces when it comes to sculpts. I don't own a single one because I find most of them to be lacking when compared to licensed merch. I don't mind picking up accessories for a statue but I like to leave full sculpts to the pros. That's just my take on things. So, I'll wait.

The custom Batman head sculpts look amazing so far. The sculpts look very professional, and DarkSpidey is painting them, so the paint jobs will look amazing.
I can't wait to see the final product.
The best portraits by far for these releases are angry red Hulk, & grey Hulk, period. I don't know WTF SS was thinking regarding the others, especially the green versions?????? Very bad choices, & as someone mentioned, the green portraits lack a level of details which does not match the hyper details in the body sculpt???? Lame to offer same body sculpts for all, & switch out hands & heads still don't cut it for me. I also have a problem with the upturned right hand. I mean, WTF is that? Seems like the mighty Hulk is ready to give King Kong a nut massage. Oh well. the long wait continues for the ultimate Hulk sculpt to emerge, & hoping it's a Canale/Gore group work. Now the dreaded wait to see if the don't screw-up the Wolverine vs Hulk dio.

The Bats head sculpt does look amazing so far. However, one great looking Bats head sculpt doesn't guarantee a fantastic modern Hulk Head sculpt. Commissions are a gamble. Sometimes they hit and sometimes they don't.
My biggest issue remains the same since the preview of the new green PF. Why would SSC ignore the peeps that have waited so long for a modern Hulk PF? Especially when the new PF comes with a COH option. It seems that the Hulk PFs from SSC are stuck in the Kirby/old school era. To be quite honest, if SSC would have released the COM in 1/4 scale, I would be all good. It's a great example of a modern, raging, and dynamic Hulk. It just isn't 1/4 scale.

I agree with others regarding the green hulk portraits...they don't seem to suit the body. The wavy haired green head seems to lack detail that the body has. We'll get a better look with the full reveal.

That is the best SSC Hulk PF made as far as I'm concerned. It truly is an EPIC piece. However, as I stated before, finances and space only allow me to have one Hulk PF in my collection. As great as the G Hulk is, I'm looking for a more traditional modern Hulk for my collection. Since I'm resigned to the fact that I'm passing on this new Hulk PF...I'm really hoping SSC goes with a straight modern take on the next one. And I can only pray SSC turns the whole project over to Gore Group. Having Martin on the entire project would be a dream come true since his G Hulk and green COM are the only SSC Hulks that I think look phenomenal.

Yeah I think that. I would of liked to have had the Green hulk displayed between the new Captain America PF & hopefully the rumoured new Thor but that Hulk sculpt just won't look right IMO with them two judging from what were seen so far :/

Pretty much all the polls made on this piece so far tell the same story. You can scale up the numbers to get a more realistic figure. I think SS is banking on the fact it's "Hulk" and people will buy regardless. When people are telling you in mass that they don't like something, you listen, or take the consequences. There biggest seller here (green) is the weakest of the three, that's a huge miss. The other two are niche characters that don't have anywhere near the demand green does. SS wants the completists that like green to buy the other two. But if no one is liking green, what incentive do they have to buy the other two? By not addressing one it will effect the others.
These could end up being another Hulk bust situation, or Prometheus engineer. They didn't listen to their customers, now the engineer is doing so bad they even cancelled the regular. The Hulk bust will remain in-stock until the day SS closes it's doors.

Have the portraits changed since the picture was revealed 8 months ago?
I don't remember anyone saying they wouldn't buy due to the style before this latest reveal.
These will still sell very well. There's a poll on here and people ordering Green only is top.
The Prometheus regular hasn't been cancelled. It was a site error that has now been rectified.
