I missed out on the exclusive too, but mainly
due to the fact that I JUST found out it was
available. I've been checking every day since
the calendar photo was posted and then, in
the end, I still miss it. That's ok, as long as I
get one, I'm happy. Although, I do admit that
I never expected the exclusive version to be
limited to 100...that was a bit of a shock.
Sideshow surely knows there are more
than 100 Dead fans out there, right?

Definately feeling more lucky with Sideshow lately, being able to order one of my favorites: the SSE Dracula Diorama, and now the exclusive PZ! If push ever came to shove, I would definately move PZ out in order to create cash flow for a continuing SSE Diorama collection. But for the time being, and I'm sure some years to come, he will have a place of honor at the center of my Sideshow collection.

Has there been any kind of confirmation on future "The Dead" premium format figures? I was originally under the impression that PZ would be a one-off in a line of premium formats, not necesarilly zombies.

Yes, they mentioned it's part of the new Sideshow Originals PF line. First Blackbeard, now PZ. So it's anyone's guess if they'll do another The Dead PF. They kinda stated that they want to experiment with new areas and whatnot, but I can see them returning. Especially if PZ sells out both editions.

What kills me are the people saying they saved money. I was going to order the Regular even if I didn't get the EX. It's just a bonus in my mind!

While I don't believe SS really thought this one through completely, my guess is that they're trying to keep PZ special with the low intital edition size just like the 1:6 version. Sort of an homage, albeit an unfortunate one for most of us. Mark it down, every future Dead PF will have an ES of at least 300-500+.

I understand Josh, completely. I've been left out of several pre-orders myself and was none too happy about it. But I didn't go on for pages and pages and cry about it.

I attempted to apologize for what I thought was at the time playful jabs, but looking back saw that it was a bit childish and those who were left out probably weren't too appreciative of my poor attempt at humor when it was mostly inappropriate. Like I said, got caught up in the moment. I stated as much, bad form on my part. But still, some can't seem to let the fact that they missed out on a limited pre-order go and want to take it out on someone.

Again, not happy anyone missed out on this. I had no idea that this was going to be this limited. Though not my fault that those that did miss it, missed it. If you need someone to vent against, I can take it.

Understand Mesa that people are not venting about you regarding the fact that they missed the PZ Ex. For that fact, they vented about the Sideshow site and the terrible way this went down.

No, they are venting about you because you threw it in everyone's face that they missed and you hit.

I tried like hell to pre-order, but could not get the site to load and missed out. I can be miffed at Sideshow and hope that my WL converts, but what I don't need is to be looking for info on this thread and see you rubbing it in every chance you got. And saying that you made those comments in the heat of the moment is a total cop-out. I am with a lot of people on this thread in saying you just made a frustrating situation worse.

I was banging my head against the wall all last evening. It was more productive than trying to log onto www.sideshowtoy.com.

I wasn't venting at Mesa alone. I was at anyone who was trying to rub it in my face or anyones face that missed this. At least Nash came on here and was like I got my orders in and let it be. The others had multiple posts rubbing others nose in it. Then when people come back and tell them to shove it they do the "oh I was joking". Whatever.

I don't give a damn you got one and I didn't. I'm ticked I missed it but thats not anyone's fault but Sideshow for putting something like this in the NL. Also cause they couldn't keep the site from crashing when they did put something like this in the NL. I'm not trying to cry page after page but I really am genuinely disappointed in missing this item.

I'm with you dude, especially since I have pretty much moved away from figures and statues with the exception of the Dead line...so this is the one I was looking forward to most this year.

But, since I won't flip it therefore don't really care about the value, if my WL does not convert and I end up with the reg, I'll be cool with it. I would rather have the Ex., but it's not the end of the world.

I agree with everything you said here. Mesa was not the only one, but he seemed to be the one trying to repeatedly backtrack and justify his comments. Hence, my response.
