You are going to enjoy it a lot!

I'm sure I will :duff. I've gotten tired of using rubber dome keys, and it hurts the hands from extended typing and gaming sessions.

Wow that keyboard looks great, how does it compare to other High end stuff?

I'm not really sure. I heard that Filco is another premium mechanical keyboard brand that's worth checking out.

Das has a really solid reputation, though. Plus, I like how it looks like a basic keyboard without all of the gnarly graphics and aesthetics that you'd often find in a lot of other brands. I'll be sure to post some pics when I get it in hand.

Just as a head's up, guys: Amazon has the Rosewill mechanical gaming keyboard on sale for $35.99 (marked down from $69.99). There's also free shipping with Amazon prime.

It doesn't have the same level of workmanship as the Das boards do (judging from the reviews). But, this one seems pretty good if you're on a tight budget and can't afford anything better.

I finally decided to pick up an Asus GTX 780 last night, as it was on sale at Amazon for $309 with rebates. I guess the price has dropped because the 900 series cards were recently released. But, as I've been holding off on good graphics card for the longest time, this seems like a good buy. The only problem is, my case is fairly small without cable management (it's a Coolermaster 431 Elite Plus), so I hope I can install the card without any problems.

I can't operate a toaster, so from what I understand..

Nice 780's are great, I'm not sure which 780 you got exactly but the card should come in at 11.3" and the case supports up to 12.4"...... so it should be fine.

I'll be upgrading at the start of next year to a 980 I think.....still not sure, I currently use a EVGA 770 Classified, so I might only get a small increase in performance and the extra features of the 900 series. For now I'm just upgrading my core components to Haswell E platform

This is the one I got (link below). I wish if I had more bones to buy two of them for SLI, but that will have to wait for another time. The 770 that you're using is a very good card, and I've heard that it's on par with the old GTX 680 in terms of performance. It's amazing how far tech advances in just a few years :lol.

ASUS Direct CU II Thermal Design with Direct-GPU Contact 10mm Copper Heat Pipe Graphics Card GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5 at Amazon.com

As for my case, I guess it should work, but I'm just concerned that the wire clutter may get in the way... I really do need some cable management in my set-up.

In any case, are you planning to upgrade your motherboard as well? I have an LGA 1155 motherboard that compatible with Sandy and Ivy Bridge Intel processors, but not Haswell.

ah Yes thats the one.. I checked
Yeah new Motherboard, RAM and CPU

as for monitors, I had to choose between 2/3 OK monitors or 1 really good one, I chose 1, but instead of a monitor I opted for a very slick 32" Samsung LED TV
and it worked out great, but I think I'll probably get a 27" G-Sync or 4K Monitor next year when the prices go down
I have an Acer 27" Touchscreen monitor but I only use it for playing Civilization V :rotfl

What displays are you currently working with?

I just have one Asus 24 inch LED monitor with a 60 Hz refresh rate :lol. I simply don't have the space to accommodate multiple monitors, but it does look cool from the set-ups that I've seen on YouTube.

Those 4K displays... :drool.

How's it running?

A TV with a DVI input? Does one exist?

DVI? is that the input using old 3 color cable? or the blue interface(7pin?) connecting from the vid card? been awhile since I put together a comp since mine works so well. Now a days i doubt the 7 pin to vid being sold but there's an adaptor/converter I recall from 7pin to HDMI.

Anyway, all i use now is HDMI connector on a TV bought 1 yr ago, like:

*EDIT: ah, component must be the old 3 color cable, lol. And no 3D on my TV but I am just cheap on DVD. I rarely buy a movie DVD anyway. Blu-Ray is fine from my Blu-Ray DVD player drive.

I'll hold out for bezel free monitors before I think about a multi-monitor setup
