In all the hoopla about Steve Jobs refusing to put the software required by 75% of web applications on his devices - I read that since Windows 7 you are just as likely to get a virus or spyware with a Mac as with a W7 PC.

I don't know if it's the same bit of info that Dave is basing his post on, but a lot of industry and security experts have stated that w7 is a more secure platform than the latest Mac OSX, though it isn't quite as clear cut as Im making it sound:
