Is the Imac wireless? I might get one next month (can't decide if it should be 21" or 27" screen) but the Router and modem and all that are downstairs in the office.

I would not get along with that keyboard at all!

It's not as small as it looks. In fact the key surface themselves are bigger than the one I had with my old PC. And the keyboard area is exactly the same.

Only real difference is that there are no numbers on the right, which makes it look really slick IMO.

If you were an accountant or something, then you might miss the numbers, but I have always been in the habit of using the numbers across the top anyway.

That said, my wife is having trouble getting used to it because their is no definition from key to key. It really feels like a laptop that way.

Wireless, as in wireless internet? Yes.

When you take it out of the box and plug it in (for power), as you walk through the set up process it will search for a wireless signal automatically if you don't have it plugged into an ethernet cable. Just select you network, type in your network password (if it's password protected) and you're good to go.

Oh, and without question:

BUY THE 27".

I bought refurbished and it was only $150 more than the 21" refurb. Totally worth the price!

When using it as a desktop doing tasks, it's like having two monitors. It makes multi tasking a pleasure. When using it as a TV watching hulu or watever, it's like a big screen TV on your desk. Totally awesome!

And a cool thing about the new iMacs is that when you are ready for a new computer years down the road, you can use this iMac as a monitor. That way you aren't throwing away that awesome screen!

I just recently picked up a Macbook Pro 15'' with the i7 processor. I love it. :rock

Pricey, but well worth it IMO. :rock

Great! :rock Sounds like it's pretty straight forward.

I'm leaning towards 27" but my brother says i don't need it. It would be a waste since i don't do a whole lot on a computer. But that might change. Who knows. I was gonna get a NBA league pass so i could watch all the games i want this upcoming season. But i think i'm gonna go check them out in stores and see which size would be best. I still need to find a place for it :)

Fingaz I bought the smaller one. It works just fine for me. Either way you will love it!

Also, I'd recommend viewing one in person. My neighbor has a 27" iMac and it's freaking huge. Like I didn't realize it until I sat down and played on it for a few minutes. I'm not sure I still want the 27" for my desk anymore because it would be too big of a screen for my desk. I'd probably go blind or something from sitting so close to it.

PC or MAC?

Both. I use both. A few years ago I bought a mac book pro for school and work but my PC isn't totally useless. I put myself in a position where I would use both of them so I wouldn't have to totally rely on one or the other.

That way I'm used to both features and the way "they feel". The MAC is amazing, no doubt. Especially for the graphic design and footage I work on/I go through, but they're ain't nothing wrong with the PC.

It took me awhile to get used to the track pad on my mac but now it's just as easy as a regular mouse.

Honestly, when I use my friends 21" now, it seems tiny.

Lol I'm sure. I still think I want a 27", but if I could find a good deal on a smaller one I wouldn't turn it down. I'm also looking forward to using my student discount again.

Having a really tough decision on whether to get a 13 or 15 inch macbook pro, I am going the refurbished route through apple either way but any help would be much appreciated. I just think that the 13 inch may be too small but then again the 15 incher is another $300 or so.

Depends on what you're using it for. The 13" suits my sysadmin and porn viewing needs nicely.

If you are a gamer, or graphic designer, then you would want *at least* 15". Though, if you were a gamer, you wouldn't really be looking at a mac.

I bought a 15'' inch a few months ago and love it. I don't think you can wrong with either one, but 15'' gets my vote.

I used to own a 17'', and am enjoying the reduced size a lot more. The 17'' was little too big IMO, in terms of portability.

(That probably doesn't answer your question, but I hope it helps.)

Thanks for the input guys, I'll probably just go with the 13. It still can't believe all that extra cash for two more inches but it looks way more drastic than that in the store.
