The only thing that needs to be banned in any legal code on this planet is initiated force.

Outside of that, people have free will. It's about time they learned to use it.

Maybe a little broad for me...but certainly the closest thing to an ideal legal structure that I have seen. I am writing you in on my ballot this year.

You'd have to work out all of the ways the principle applies, but if the fundamental law prohibits anyone from starting the use of physical force against anyone else, you've effectively set all people free from all other people. That was the unspoken premise in the Founding philosophy, and look at how well it worked. It was only implicit, so when it was attacked, it's advocates didn't know how to defend it, but once you make it explicit, the critics against it are revealed for the thugs they are.

Not sure if i'm playing the role of Captain Obvious over here but that's a little too simplistic.

You don't need to use physical force to enslave people.
