I checked Rebelscum this morning and on the front page, they have like a link that they say will go live at 10 am this morning, You dont think people who arent suppose to be able to by Maul will be able to buy him or try to get him this morning will they.

I AM in favor of this idea though because it rewards those people who HAVE purchased an SW PF (either Ex or not... only one, or many) from us in the past, therefore it rewards those people we KNOW are at least somewhat invested in the line (be they 'flippers' or not... we really can't tell, as we don't have a crystal ball ). After all, there's no way for us to know without a doubt if someone is invested in a particular line unless he/she purchases direct from Sideshow. And the really good thing is that it's not based on how MUCH money was spent, but what that customer has HISTORICALLY shown interest in, and then backed up their interest with a purchase.

I have never purchased anything from the PF Stars Wars line, but I do intend on ordering Darth Maul [simply too good to pass up]. If I get the opportunity to grab an exclusive, fine...if not, no big deal. I do not have a problem with SS rewarding it's loyal customers.
I will however, have a problem with it if SS does not provide the same courtesy to those of us who collect PF's from other licences. The next time SS produces a really spectacular exclusive LOTR PF character I will be expecting the same courtesy Star Wars fans are receiving this time around.

You bring up a good point, woodsy. It would be nice for this to happen for the next Marvel or LOTR PFs.

According to the announcement, they are using a specially modified order page. If you aren't qualified, there will be no order button. I guess we'll see.
