For those who don't know, though everyone should, the showed Maul in the latest Star Wars Insider. Regualr is $275, but exclusive is $300. The exclusive accesory is the probe droid.

I finally got my email just a little while ago but the banner has been in my account for a few days.

I got the same email, I'm stoked!!

Plus, I logged into my account and (check out my sig) and saw that I am Qualified!! :maul

The lightsaber feature is damned cool I have to admit. Such a pity Sideshow choose to shut out collectors.
$300 x 1000 = $300,000. Could that be the amount SSC needs to make a PF profitable?

Why are they differnt prices? All the others were the same price except for the first Luke, Han and Leia. The last few have all been the same price . That seriously sucks. I might have to go the retailer route this time if that is true.

Huh, I thought the only difference between regular and exclusive is the probe?

Both versions feature the light up saber, just like Obi-Wan and Vader.

You don't need to get the exclusive in order to have the light up feature.

Actually, I thought pretty much on all the PF anymore the exclusive cost more.
Both Boba were $350
Both Luke/Yodas were $350
Both Vaders were $350
Both General Grievous were $450
Both Lukes were $250 (except for non attendee $275)
Both Obis were $275
Leia was $250 and $275
Han was $250 and $300

The price difference makes this an even easier pass for the exclusive. I'll be more than happy to save over $50 and get this from a retailer.

Thats what I was thinking. I could see paying the difference between SS and retailer but I am not sure about what will turn out to be a 75-100 difference.

I agree... especially considering that the Probe Droid doesn't even go with the Maul that is portrayed in the PF.

I'm definitely getting one, but most likely from one of my favorite SSC dealers and not direct. Bet we can get him for about $220-$250 or so.

i think the probe is a light-up version, which explains the price hike. Just my thought.

Well thats makes a difference. I will pre-order him then see what happens, If I find its not worth the difference I will cancel after I secure a regular discounted version.

thats assuming I get the exclusive ordered in time.

How could Probe-on-a-Stick® light up? That would be quite a feat of engineering and production, and if it's true then I can't wait to see it. But if it's similar to Obi-Wan's training remote, that seems unlikely.

Plus--did the probes light up in the movie? I don't remember...

I dont think it would be that hard, they make the stick carry the current to the probe from the base where it plugs into.

They could have them make the lil noise instead.

Maybe it has a little sound chip that loops that hovering sound.
A few hours of that ambient audio is bound to put you in a good mood.

The cost could also be due to the fact the Droid is a tad more than training remote and Maul has not 1 but 2 light up lightsabers on the same piece.
