Somewhere that is unseasonably dry. Never seen anything like this here before.

Just one question ZaCH...

Why are your horizon lines so slanted? Usually that is done to give a creepy or something is off feel to a shot, like in "The Twilight Zone" or the "Batman" TV series.

What are you trying to say with your horizon's so tilted?

Not too sure, but I seem to always take photos like that. :lol

^^^ Really like these two. :)

Thanks mags. :duff

Diggin the pics Zach. They would lend themselves very well to HDR's which I just started messing with today...

I think I'm in love. lol I never really felt comfortable with landscapes, but I'm really liking how they turn out as HDR's.

Thanks bud. :duff

Noob question, what's an HDR? Doesn't have something to do with taking various pictures of the same thing, then combining them?

Yup. Stands for High Dynamic Range. You take 3 photos all at different exposure levels (one 2 stops under, one 2 stops over) and that way you get the details in the shadows and highlights you wouldn't normally get otherwise.

I literally decided to give it a shot last night. Visited a friend who lives a little outside the suburbs today, so on my way home I stopped a couple times and snapped some pics. Just downloaded Photomatix and played around a little tonight. :)

Damn. That's spectacular.

I'm going to France next week. Might have to give this a little thought...
