@jinxx

Thanks for the input. I gave monochrome a try then I accidentally clicked on one of the presets and got this:

Tweaked with some of the colours, I think this one turned out nice after post processing. I should shoot with RAW next time. I now hate JPEG :mad:

@villainsfan42

I dont think he knew I took a photo of him. I wouldve if he looked at me. :D

Something for today; Non-fat? You decide...

Interesting Info/Opinion of RAW vs JPG

https://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/raw.htm

Fritz, I definitely agree with him. I've shot with both Raw and JPG formats and cannot tell a difference. I think some pros tend to let their knowledge make them a bit holier-than-thou and declare ridiculous things like "If you want to be a real photographer, raw is the only way to shoot digitally."

Couldn't be further from the truth. Both file types produce fantastic results.

In other news, I went out taking photos on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I got down in the muck to get these photos, but they turned out really well, so I didn't mind.

Thanks, jay. Forgot these. There was a flock of thousands of Tree Swallows swarming at the place I take photos. My guess is that they were gathering before heading back north.

Here's a pano from yesterday afternoon, looking eastward from Boise toward the mountains. We often get treated to some amazing, dramatic cloud formations above those mountains on late winter afternoons. :)

Wow, that is a fantastic shot, RoboDad. I love it.

I have only gotten up to the above picture in this thread (page 12), and I just had to agree... This shot is amazing. I would buy it as a print.

[Edit: O.K. I just finished going through this thread, and I have to say to ChronoBreak and agen_kolar: You are artists, and I feel privileged to have seen your work.

I am no photographer and I don't have a SLR, but I would like to contribute a few pictures to this thread when I have time.

Really glad I found this thread.:)]

I haven't gotten to Hawai'i yet, but it's on my short list of places to visit over the next few years. Those photos are stunning. Here are some from my haul this weekend:
