Pipe weed what's the real deal?

There is something that is just "right" about seeing Yoda with a pipe. I can't explain it.

Yoda does look good with a pipe but Dagobah probly didn't have the right climate conditions for growing pipeweed... mushrooms on the other hand? Might explain his slightly 'wacky' behaviour when he first meets Luke in ESB.
