Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

Yeah that's what I'm hoping for! Although my patience is not to be trusted! :lol

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I can't believe I haven't seen that done yet. The cannibal head has the most Depp like qualities to me- especially the facial expression.

Please do post some photos. I am interested in seeing the results. :D

Here we go. I finally got around to taking a snap of him. I'm going to play around with the face a little more at a later date.

Very nice, and reminds me, I meant to revive this thread after the recent Joker announcement.

Here's to hoping we get an MMSDX version of Jack Sparrow with poseable eyes :rock

And lighter skin! :lol

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I know some people are unhappy and have definitely gotten variations on the skin tones for the Sparrows, but both my original and Cannibal figures came with perfect skin tones for Jack. I'd say they need consistency, but no lighter.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really all my POTC figures had far too dark of skin tone. Really ruined the figures for me. So yeah thats something HT needs to fix.

Yes! They could give us a lot of accessories they missed out on like the jar of dirt, Jack's telescope, the rifle he uses to shoot the barrels when they're fighting the Kraken, and another Jack head with the cannibal head expression without the face paint.

You got lucky. While my smiling Jack sculpt is lighter, it's still too dark for my taste. Cannibal Jack is WAY too dark.

I only have Cannibal Jack and would pick up a Barbossa to complete the set for me. But I agree. Way too dark and it hurt the otherwise FANTASTIC figure.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

Keep watching this thread...I have a feeling Barbossa will be appearing here before too long...

Thanks Dally! You've got good patience. The 4th movie doesn't even have a script yet. Nor a start date. So it's at least a year and a half away at the absolute earliest. But there's a slim chance HT would do a MMS DX Sparrow. That still leaves Barbossa wanting.

Something tells me we'd get a MMSDX Jack Sparrow covering all three films before we'd get a Barbossa proper. :(

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

They'll probably revive the line when Pirates 4 comes out. We need Barbossa!

Well, that's what I meant. When I opened the box, all I could see was the whites of his eyes. :lol

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

How do you guys get the neck post out of the Cannibal head when it comes out with it? I don't want to use hot water because I don't want to risk screwing up any paint.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

lol I'm pretty sure that hot water won't mess up factory paint... don't qoute me on it though..

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I've never had hot water mess up a paint job. It works like a charm when popping off HT heads.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

I've used hot water before on Hot Toy's heads, but that was with sculpted necks. I was worried about the face paint coming off on this one since you'd have to dip the head at least half way in the water.

Re: Official Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean Thread

venakin skywalker May I ask what body is that you've used for your head swop?
