The way that that pipe fits into his mouth looks extremely cool. And the fact that he comes with the heart and chest too (and can hold a sword) has me sold. Some people say $150 is too much. It depends on how much you like the character. Since Davy is my favorite movie creature design of all time, then I think what they're asking is worth it.

the right hand (tentacle hand), from wrist up is very hard to bent
the left hand (pincher hand), the articulation is not that restricted but that the max the claw can open up as shown in the pic.
The right leg (peg leg), well, there is a knee joint...
The left leg, i think its pretty heavy, serves to balance the figure therefore you cant bent it so much
Very heavy figure, I believe he is twice heavier than any other Hottoys POTC figure

How does the head move? Is there anything in the long tentacle finger that helps articulate? I assume the coat is not removable?

The only thing I'm not liking on Davy is the dark circles around his eyes. I don't remember him wearing Joker make-up. Other than that though (and that is really a minor nit in the awesomeness this figure looks) he looks fantastic and can't wait to get him.

They are a bit dark up close and weren't that way in the movie, but I think it's to be an effect for the shelf, since his face is so light, making the sockets a bit darker will make them look deeper on the shelf.

Maulfan, have you ever thought of using your pics, and making a book? I am pretty sure it would be a great seller. You could tell stories with your figures, ala Robot Chicken style, but more-so on a artistic level. I would be first in line to get a signed copy of your book!

A nice idea and I appreciate the support Eli, unfortunately because they're copywritten characters and the figures' manufacturers have rights to the figures themselves, I could never use anything but images I've done officially for Sideshow to promote myself with intent to gain money or a job.

Just to put out there it is kind of weird that every single release of a Davy Jones figure that has been put out from Zizzle to Hot Toys has come with a walking cane though at no time in the movies he ever used one. It does looks pretty cool though with him.

Nope, no cane. Just his "peg leg" clunking on the wood, so the sound may make you remember a cane. But obviously, with his one good hand holding his pipe, he couldn't have a cane in his claw hand.
