Wow, I hated Up. I was sad that I hated it. The beginning was the only good part and then it broke my heart. Boooo.

I am going to see Brave tonight. Very looking forward to it.

I thought it was only a'ight. Not a horrible movie, but not as dramatic or funny as other Disney movies. Actually liked Princess and the Frog better.

are you serious? why did you hate it?

I hated Princess and the frog actually, i thought it was awful,
Loved Tangled, really loved it, it was funny and Rapunzel was amazing, everything about her was so great!

Saw it the other day with the GF and we both agreed that, while it was an okay film, REALLY disappointing for a Pixar film. There really was no real plot points, no real character progressions, pretty much the only thing that changed throughout the film was that
the girl at the end of the film ended up liking her mother, that's about it

I hated Up, too. The beginning was the only good part, IMO. My favorite Pixar movie is Finding Nemo.

I kind of wanted to see this, but I'm afraid I won't like it, based on some of the stuff I've read, like:......

This is what I'd read about it. I'd read a review that criticized the movie, stating that Merida's independence and desire to live her own life takes a backseat at the end to her apologizing to her mother and understanding her mother better. Like it sort of comes across as wrong that she wants differently for her life.

That pretty much turned me off this film.

I was extremely bored through the entire thing, aside from the beginning. I kept repeating "When will this end!!!"

Saw Brave, and I liked it. It wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be from the trailers I had seen. But it was good none the less. The bear scenes cracked me up, and the triplets were awesome.

Yep!! It's my favorite Disney flick. Loved Rapunzel and Mandy's voice work. Also loved Flynn a lot too.

Tangled was a great movie, dare I say better than a number of Pixar movies....and I love Pixar.

yeah that's exactly how I felt about Up, I was really bored, nothing good was happening, nothing magical or awesome like Nemo or Pixar, there was no good humor, it was a really weird movie, I guess the lack of characters and the harsh terrain they were in didn't help either, it felt like a chore to watch, like, I didn't really enjoy watching it,
but is really beloved, so I never hear someone dislike up.

yeah I have to say from all the princesses she has to be my favorite, her silly, hyper naive innocence really won me over, she is the most fun princess of all of them I think, Flynn also won me over too, I love them,

For me, Brave was a middle of the road pixar film, not classic but loads better than Cars 2 or A Bugs Life. I think it's unreal to expect every film to be a home run, but I did enjoy Brave and more importantly, my 5 year old daughter loved it.

Even though Tangled is officially a Disney film, it has Pixar written all over it.

I saw Brave with my family. It's ok, but not the stellar tale-telling that I hold Pixar to.

Yea, I'd say that "Tangled" was more of a Pixar movie than "Brave". With the unexpected characterizations, some hilarious and exciting set pieces - a much better film.

I'm really surprised by all the hate for "UP" - definitely one of Pixar's top 5 films. But then I'm also surprised at the love for "Finding Nemo" IMO their weakest after Cars 1 & 2.

Up is loved by everyone I've heard or read, i was starting to think i was the only one that hated the movie

I really like Up as well, especially the opening scene. However, if I had to list my top 5 Pixar films it'd probably be Toy Story, Toy Story 3, The Incredibles, Wall-E, and Ratatouille.

Took my five year old daughter to see this today and we both really liked it. I agree it's probably a middle entry in Pixar's line-up but the killer bear reminded me of the one from "The Fox and the Hound" and the overall mythology felt like it might have been a short story written by Lloyd Alexander for his "Black Cauldron" series. Very cool.

Took my daughters (6 and 4) to see this today and we all really enjoyed it-- It might be the Scottish heritage but I thought it was very strong. The girls loved talking to their grandmother on Skype and explaining all about the movie (my mum's originally from Greenock) with the toys that I had bought for them (along with some books) afterwards since it was daddy/daughter day with my wife staying at home with the little guy.

I'd definitely recommend seeing it with your daughter (if you're lucky enough to have one-- or two)... a good message and it was nice to see a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry strong female character (with red hair no less) as a heroine. My daughters were both very taken with Merida.

thats good to hear. I was worried about taking my 4yr old daughter. Have to hit a showing with her ... :monkey1
