If Gladiator Hulk comes with the Rhino Comi' hollow syndrome it'll go back just like the Rhino did and I won't think twice about it.

My LCS have some good deals IF you know where to look, BUT there are several that automatically throw in an $150 markup, thatnou can haggle off so you think you are getting a deal...lol. There is even one that has two damaged statues, a Storm and a Skaar, that they are selling at a minimum markup of $130....

Yup, I go in just to window shop and see the items I didn't order. Maybe something will strike me different in person but that rarely happens. Anyway, I go in maybe once or twice and month and Im surprised when they go missing. The shop guys tell me sometimes someone comes in buys up two or three at a time. And they markup regulars pretty heavy, similar to what Spidey was quoting maybe more. They recently had the legendary scale wolverine at 3k even though you can still get him from SS for 2k. Guess what, they sold it Oh, and I just saw one end on ebay for 1795 with free shipping.

Yeah I window shop too... I have managed to see MOST of the grails from way back SINCE I joined up (Thor PF, Iron Man Mark VI Maq, Punisher Com, etc...), and the new additions like Green Lantern and DeadPool, and I can honestly say I am rarely even TEMPTED. The rules I came up with back in February have made this hobby FAR easier to resist the temptation. In fact only the Iron Man really called to me, but I have bigger fish to fry....lol.

It is nice to see the amazing pieces Ben if I am not buying them though... Lol.

Well, when you have boat loads of money who cares about mark up. There is always someone better off than you but usually someone far worse off than you too. I think of what I have and what I will be able to acquire here soon to complete my SS Collecting journey and it really does make me smile. It is easy to forget sometimes that some people save for a very long time for just one of these things. Think about it. Makes me very humble.

You quoted my life. No joke, buying Skaar from a new friend I met on here. I used money I have been saving for 2 years! Then to find out there was an EX with even more awesome pieces! But I really love that character. So it was worth it. I'm very jealous of a lot of you.

I have been begging in the WTT/B thread if anyone wants to sell the exclusive pieces to their Skaar (axe and sword handle). I do this almost certainly knowing theres a 99.9999% chance of this never happening. But it's worth it to me to try, because that's the only chance ill ever have at obtaining it.

I'm not going to lie, it hurts to see the EX sell for cheaper than what I paid for the regular 6 months ago. And it hurts to see people sell the regular to purchase the ex. But I knew getting into this hobby that I wouldn't be able to do these kinds of things, and I still love these statues all the same.

Hmmm, seems if you have online access you should be able to work some deals. Just be patient and if your really determined it will happen. We have all been there. I started collecting their Weta line when I was in college and flat broke. Over time I have gained more buying power. Even then sometimes I have it and sometimes I don't. You should see me scrambling to find funds for a converted WL item this week

Well the thing is THIS hobby can often be about being in the right place at the right time, and realizing that things cost money. I have seen your WTB thread and I keep thinking that eventually you may get lucky, but that if you really want the Ex you may want to sell your Reg and then save up the extra funds for te Ex. Also, from here out you will want to do your research when it comes to differents statues (i.e. do they come with an Ex). However, I will say that Skaar is kickass with or without the axe. You have an amazing looking statue there, and you shouldn't let others convince you that it isn't worthy simly because you have the Reg. guys here pull that crud all the time, but for the most part they are joking, and having had a chance to get the Ex for $500 or the Reg for $350 I can honestly say I would have gotten the Reg, but in the end I decided to save for other things. In the end good luck on your search and dot give up, this hobby can surprise you in many ways....

I hate what's going on with issues, poor QC, open and high ES but I know once your in it's hard to get out.
