Then keep your PS3 to play your games. Am I missing something?

It's kind of a big deal for people who don't have the room to keep every console they ever bought hooked up to their television.

Apple has created a consumer mindset where software I buy today will work on hardware I might buy tomorrow. There was enormous backlash toward Nintendo for not allowing WiiWare and Virtual Console games to play on the Wii U without booting to Wii-mode. This is worse.

Wife would kill me if I hooked them all up. :lol

Your downloadable PS3 games wouldn't work since they'd be designed for the PS3. The only actual downloadable games that would work would be PS4 games. Though I'd imagine that it wouldn't take much work to get PS1 and PS2 downloadable games to work on PS4 like they did for PS3

Has something happened to your PS3?

:lol:lol:lol:lol Yes! I've gone through a few of these machines.

Sounds like hope is not entirely lost though: https://www.polygon.com/2013/2/21/4013130/ps4-psn-backwards-compatibility-gaikai-cloud

When asked if the aforementioned "cloud services" could work with your existing PSN library, recognizing your previous purchases and making those experiences available on the otherwise-incompatible PS4, Yoshida said, "We could do so if we choose to. We know who purchased what as a record. But we are working on service plans and we haven't decided."

Yeah It doesn't make sense that downloadable PS1 and PS2 games wouldn't work on PS4. Those were just emulated after all (post-60gb PS3 elimination). Transferring is another oddity, though.

Which means they'll see what Xbox does. :rotfl

I can't believe nobody's made a thread about the Quantic Dream tech demo. Part of me wants to start one titled "Auto-erotic asphyxiation: the video game," but I don't know if that would be insensitive (or crude) enough to get deleted.

I can't understand how Game UK can take £20.00 pre-orders on this console.
Especially when they don't know what it looks like , what it cost's or when it is going to be released.

That was awesome. And the MOVE stuff is a complete joke along with the current Kinect.

I kind of like putting the Move controllers into the Sharpshooter attachment and playing Killzon, Socom and Resistance. It makes the games more immersive.
