Well Jack Tretton was on cnbc last night and said ps4 games are still $60, the rumoured price for the console is 530 and 430 for a model with a smaller hard drive. This rumour was sent to kotaku by someone who's been right about everything else so far as this person has a devkit.

Considering the graphics card in th ps4 is 8gb of DDR5 and is Nvidia if you were to buy the nvidia titan which is only 4gb of DDR5 and costs 1 grand. 530 Seems like a good price to me

I guess that's not a terrible price. Wasn't the PS3 $499 and $599 initially? I'll wait to see what comes in the box before deciding if I'll reserve one.

Titan is 6GB and it has a way faster GPU

I'am buying this one in Australia its already up for pre order for $899 which makes it more expansive than the states premium price tag of $500. I also will hang onto my ps3 which i got when it first came out like 6 years ago lol, the best machine i used plus it served great for playing my blu rays on my av receiver.

I guess now it will go along side my Wii u in the spare room and will be continued to be used for games like grand theft auto V and others games i have yet to finish.

I only hope the PS4 looks just as great as the first gen playstation 3 and hope it brings back the slot loading disc drive, as the ps4 will be placed in low lying entertainment cabinet.

Wait where does it say that PS4 has a 8GB video card? The only official spec list I've seen says it has "MEMORY: 8GB DDR5", which is RAM not VRAM. Once again, RAM is cheap... 8 RAM today will cost less than $50.

I'm not trying to disprove, I'm just really curious if 8GB Video Card is official for PS4.

I believe the RAM is shared across the whole system, so possibly something like 2GB could be dedicated to the OS while the rest would be dedicated to the game running. That would be instead of how PC's have a set of RAM that the CPU uses and then the graphics card has it's own memory.

It's unified DDR5, and it is NOT CHEAP. You can't even get DDR5 ram sticks in retail. Only GDDR5, and that's available only on the highest end video cards on the market and only up to 6gb, as someone mentioned earlier.

I remember the playstation 1 being 1 grand then it went down to £600.00 and then stayed at £450.00 for a while
