:lecture Yup. I doubt I'll continue gaming when the day comes when everything is digital only. That and I've been spending more of my time playing classic retro gaming. It's a shame that I'm re-buying and replaying all the of same games I had throughout my years as a gamer (NES to PS1 era).

I'm slowly doing the same the retro games are the best .

:lecture :rock I'm working on building up my Sega Saturn and Nintendo Gamecube collection. Even though I owned both when originally released, I was too poor to afford buying more than a handful of games back then.

Here's my latest catch from the local retro store in town:

^Nice haul! :rock

But yeah, to what you guys are saying, I really hate the concept of digital only games as well. I download a lot of PC games and I don't mind it as much because they're dirt cheap (often only several dollars each on the Steam sales). But, when it comes to PlayStation games, I'd rather have physical copies that I can keep and display. I remember last year, I spent a small fortune buying the Black Label copies of all the FF and MGS games for PS1 :lol.

I should be getting a PS4 very soon so I can join the kewl crowd .

do eet! ps4 has been awesome! i cant stop playing it and the NEW retro styled games are pretty good as well, really cheap too. i got hotline miami and lone survivor. ive almost completed HM and its been really good. wish now i didnt miss out on the jacket figure, hopefully i can get one on ebay reasonably priced when they come out but i highly doubt it.

The Saturn and Dreamcast are still 2 of my favorite systems of all time. Xmen Vs Street Fighter and Symphony of the Night for the Saturn are the first 2 games I ever had the experience of importing. Back then I had to order them from an ad I found in the back of a gaming magazine because this was well before the websites we have today.

I never had a Saturn and bought a DC on eBay just to play SF4.

But I root hard in retrospect for Sega's system. Especially after reading Console Wars, and knowing just how screwed up Sega's legit efforts were due to corporate infighting.

wow...I need to read that book. You're the second person I know that has read it and felt that way. I remember growing up experiencing all of this, and it was truly sad to see Sega fail after the 16bit days. IMO the Dreamcast is truly one of the best consoles made, and in hindsight I still believe it would've done 100x better if Sega put a DVD player in it instead of their proprietary format (GD ROM I think).

Anyways, back on topic. Tomorrow all of the PSN+ stuff drops. Who plans on downloading what?
I plan on downloading The Swapper for the PS4 and Vita, and Duck Tales for the PS3. Is Infamous: First Light a DLC, or a complete game? Is it necessary to play the other games to appreciate this one?

I can't recommend it enough. It's not only a ton of interesting info, but the book is written very engagingly.

its a DLC. it tells the backstory of Fetch, the female friend you make in Infamous: second son.

I just hooked up my PS4, only over a year late. :lol

I don't need any of the 4 games that came with the system, send me a PM if interested, just make an offer.
