Very astute expert scientific analysis of the events. I agree.

You know what it was Plasmid, for me it no longer became an issue of graphics, price point, controller or online infrastructure.

It came down to very basic gamer/customer bill of rights.

As soon as MS showed me what they thought of my rights as THEIR customer, I was done with them.

I would've been done with Sony just the same if they had come out and did the same.

But they didn't.

Hey MS, it's not about graphics and price.

It's about respecting YOUR customers.

Idiots.

Who wants to pay over and over for the same game when you have a family or friends.

Who the hell wants to check in with MS every 24 hours.

Go scratch.

Well said, jye! Microsoft became the very embodiment of corporate big brother in a time when the masses hold a great contempt for corporations, especially gamer masses. Microsoft practically laid the carpet for Sony to walk all over them.

You think Msoft will go back on their policies?

Nah, too late, if it was going to happen it would've been no later than E3.

It's bad enough I have to report in to a boss and wife, last thing I need is to report into MS corporation.

What's funny is that Major Nelson congratulated Sony and ND for Last of Us successful review scores.

Sony thanked them back today. :rotfl

Online multiplayer for PS3 will still remain free right?

Most likely. It's not for certain, but I don't see any reason why they would change their policies for the PS3. What's going to be strange though is what will happen if there will be any online games that are on both PS4 and PS3 (or even Vita). TitanFall is on both Xbox One and 360 so there might be a similar situation on the Sony systems. Or maybe not, I dunno.

:lol they should.

TLoU's gonna be big. I can't think of any big 360 games for the rest of the year though.

I am very happy about this news.

I though for sure Sony was going to implement the same Ridiculas policy as MS, and l thought the days of gaming were over, it would have been for me.

So with this news l am going to get a PS4 (not for a while yet though), which is obviously a very easy decision.

The sad thing is, and what l am concerened about, is many gamers will still buy the Xbox1 as well, and MS will still make a lot of money off their Nazi console. I really hope they don't sell at all, and they recall the system or something.

MS still might get away with what they are doing, but l hope they pay for it dearly.

I am so glad that I made a switch to PS3 in 2009. Many of my friends doubted me, some of them welcomed me to the PSN. Now I can revel in the fact that I made the right decision in advance. Very much looking forward to seeing more of the new PS4 titles.

I must say I was liking the PS4 more than the One anyways, but now I think I might just get a PS4 for a family Xmas present. What burns me most is the lack of backward compatibility. I mean the damn things won't be able to play GTA V! I've only got so much space in my av rack. And I'm running out of HDMI ports too, and my receiver isn't even 3 years old yet.

Backwards compatibility should be across the board should be available if the newer systems are using the same medium, discs.
