I still have my original 60GB PS3 that had only one problem during its use. The Blu-Ray drive simply couldn't read any disc I put in it. I was lucky I didn't have to pay anything because it was still under warranty and Sony sent me a special box with a special stamp to put it in. I got My PS3 back in about two weeks with a repair order stating they just replaced the entire drive.

I'm still using my original 60 with no problems. :rock

and it begins...

"The console exclusive is all but gone, digital distribution is the way of the future, and video game rental is much more convenient."

I just can't see these new systems not allowing the use of used games. Sony and Microsoft would pretty much be causing the closure of 6500+ stores. So if they wan't to see unemployment drop even more go ahead. If it wasn't for the used games Gamestop would not be around. I don't know if I have ever bought a "new" game from them. The only time I would order from them is if Bestbuy isn't doing a midnight release for a game I really want to play at midnight.

I think I'm going to wait a year after the PS4's release and see how it goes. I bought a 20 GB PS3 5 years ago that is still running smoothly. It has been really helpful that the older machines allowed for replacing the hard drives with laptop hard drives. I cannibalized a dead laptop, two years after I bought the PS3 for its 100 GB hard drive and last year I spent $50 at Best Buy for a 300 GB hard drive that I installed with no problems whatsoever.

Only thing that will make me dump money on a PS4 or Xbox720 would be 64 players Battlefield game with PC quality graphics.

Not even 4K resolution output would do it, not yet anyays.

Man I remember the bf2 days sitting in 64 player servers so much fun! As much as I like bf3 bf2 IMO is the better game.

Is that maybe Killzone? If so, it could make a killer release day title if it pushes the PS4 like KZ2 did for the PS3.

But that's a whole lot of "ifs."

Yes I heard Killzone could make launch although it will barely be dipping its feet power wise.
Cant wait to see a next gen motorstorm on this.

I'm excited to hear about how much better your PC rig is than the PS4 too! :wink1:

It's cool, Snake just gets excited. I'm sure he'll be pumped up over this one, too. Seriously, though, I think it's an admirable quality; everybody's so cynical all the time (I have a hard time trying not to be, anyways), and for a guy to be that enthusiastic all the time; that's awesome.

Hope the PS4 is built similar to Vita insofar as architecture....I'm most excited for unified development on console games

Personally, I'm going to be fairly disappointed if there isn't some awesome connectivity between the two. Might help bolster some disappointing sales.

I always wondered why they didn't try to use the Vita for the PS3 in the same way the Wii U gamepad is used. I think it would have been really good for them.

I remember they planned to do some fun connectivity stuff with the PSP and the PS3, but it got swept under the rug more or less. Next gen portable for the next gen system? Hope so.
