Since I know zilch about computer programming, was the cell processor so powerful that it's still just as powerful as the PS4 processor, but because it was difficult to use the power was never fully utilized?

Or as powerful as it was, it's still far behind the tech inside the PS4.

No, the PS3 cell processor is much slower than the PS4 processor. Part of the issue with programming for the PS3 was the dev kit had almost nothing with it, people had to start from scratch for the most part. That was a big issue along with the low amount of memory (256MB). That's why The Last of Us looks so good, it's their 4th game on the system so they've had time to practice.

Hey I ran into an issue with my PS3. Maybe someone here can enlighten me. It says my hard drive is full (I have the old 60 gig original). However, I have nothing really on it except a coupld PSone games and the install for Gran Turismo 4. Where the hell did all my memory go? :dunno

I remember when I got my PS3 back from Sony and it was wiped, I started with 55GB :dunno

Maybe it's the software? It's the only downside to that model because how damn fast it fills up.

I was wondering that. I was thinking about how many times I have to update the system and wondering if it was that. :lol

Seriously I hope I don't have to update the PS4 as much as this system. I also hope they improve the download speeds.

Originally, it would take hours for me to update it. Now it feels pretty reasonably, but it should be faster. I can't see 500GB filling up that quickly. It just bugs me you need to install the game data and keep it to run the disc. It adds up fast.

All the PS1 games are only in the 100's of MB.

Yeah I know. Thats why I can't figure out where the rest of my 60 gigs is at. :lol Gran Turismo was only 8 gigs. To be honest I use my 360 exclusively unless there is an exclusive for PS3 I want to play. If I was a regular user I'd be pissed.

I will pass up on some upcoming PS3 titles like AC4 and watchdogs and get them on the PS4 instead for the graphics

I don't think watchdogs will be available on the ps3.

I can honestly say I don't know what I will use and not use on the console. I'm going to need to try it all out first. *rolls up sleeves.*

Sony really needs to add voice recognition and voice commanding. It's pretty common on new smartphones and it's the ony practical feature of the XB1 kinect. Plus typing text with the controller will suck even with the touchpad.

Speaking of HDDs, if they use Seagate again as the default brand of choice, may upgrade my PS4 to a 1tb hdd....just to be sure!

I'd like to install a 1TB solid state drive if it easily accessible. HDD bttle necks will be an issue with both systems.
