I realize one person cannot fight the government, but you have to remember our founding fathers DID win their freedom against a tyrannical government because of their guns. It's the principle of the thing.

And yes, guns can make bad situations worse. But even if the woman hadn't had proper training with a gun, it sure as hell would even the odds and you can't argue that.

They did because the entire nation at the time came together. Plus we had help from France (which if they hadn't we'd have lost) and while guns of course helped it was the intelligence and leadership involved that helped as much. Not to mention a whole lot of luck.

In some situations it can but I don't give guns enough credit to say they equal that. A big strong guy can take a woman out in a hurry even if she has a pistol.

Incorrect. France joined the fight only AFTER Saratoga(in which the tides of war had already begun to turn). When we asked France for help earlier, they said no(probably since they had just gotten done getting their ***** kicked in the French and Indian Wars.

What its saying is that in order to protect the people for them to form a militia they have the right to bear arms to protect themselves. Of course this was before we had an army that would do it for us or national guards that would as well.

Whoa whoa whoa. I did NOT say pitbulls deserve to die. If I could afford a nice big farm for all of those pitbulls I saw in the shelter that day I would buy every snarling one of them and let them wander free (they might tear each other up but that's their business). I hope Lennox does get back to his family. All I'm saying is I personally do not entirely trust pitbulls, because of 1) their reputation, 2) their selective breeding and 3) that one who snapped and mutilated my brother's dog. Between the three of those, I think I have valid reason to not want to really be around a pitbull for an extended amount of time.
