I don't think Plo Koon is an accurate measure of an all around price hike. If TPM Obi-Wan is announced and he's more than $49.99, then yeah, there's a hike, but we won't know until they announce another human figure in a basic outfit.

So there is a problem with the extra bucks if Plo Koon took 100 hours to get right and TPM OB1 only took 25?

Well didn't this thread get messy?

Without taking sides I will say that I was slightly shocked at the price of PK (he comes in at £10.00 ($20.00) more than I paid for Jedi Luke) but I anticipate a smaller edition size, the sculpt is very intricate and the price of oil IS rising.

But did I hesitate in ordering it?

Not for one second!

Was I happy about paying extra? not really but things cost what they cost and if I want it then I'll have to pay for it.

Are the figures worth the little extra?

Absolutely - they are easily the best SW figures I have ever owned. By a country mile.

If it don't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your.... toy collection.

hmm.. that didn't quite gel. I'll just go back to work.

As far as why Plo is more I'm sure there are more reasons as to why than what Dusty said or more than what she may be told. Even if it is just a bottom line # fine with me because I'm buying them come hell or high water.
Well that outfit (except the cloak) definately isn't a reason.

Plo Koon gets shot in the back again!

Holy fried wookie on a stick.

I don't know who the biggest whiners are: Star Wars fans or Oklahoma Sooner fans.

SS just needs to give Star Wars back to Hasblo. Big hands and stupid smiles for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome!!! GO Ducks!!!!! :violin

I just submitted an "Ask Sideshow" question about Plo's saber and clothes colors. Hopefully we'll get an answer soon.

Did you ever hear back from them?

I figure its been a few pages since we complained about the lightsaber not being blue.

It needs to be blue.

Some excellent points made by Irish Jedi and DCFett.

As for the argument made about letting your wallet do the talking, I've already done just that. I've cancelled the Jabba figure, throne set, Crumb set and Bib Fortuna. Someone on the waitlist that wants these come hell or high water will be happy to get their notice now, I'm sure. As for me, I'm sending my own little message to SS, as some of you have said to do... ;)

If these prices continue to go up, I'll be priced out of the 12" figure line. There just comes a (price)point when I would rather spend the money on something else. $100.00 Stormtrooper? That would be my exit queue for this line.

Looks like my waiting list Plo Koon is being converted already. They said it will convert on 9/23. Great news. He would have been my first Sideshow SW figure that was not a exclusive...and I really wanted this exclusive too. Let's hope it really happens

They don't reply back. You have to wait for a newsletter or Podcast to see if they will answer them. No personal responses.

If SSC said it will be converted, then it will! Congratz! As a "all exclusive owner" so far, I know what it's like, the need to own all exclusives!

Actually, I got a nice email from Dusty last week. She noticed that all but one of my Jabba questions got answered, so she was kind enough to ask and let me know.

The pipe isn't removable (I think that was answered) and the liquid inside is solid.

That was quick. Im glad you were able to get one that quickly off the wait list. I wonder how many people order these on impulse and then just cancel a few days later.

I dunno, but thanks--I was really desperate to get one since he is my favorite Jedi, but I had a class, and was late. I'm really really happy about this; now my day is complete!

Yeah..I totally forgot that it was for sale that day. Eventhough I had a note to order it earlier in the day. I am glad I am getting converted..I was surprised it came that fast.

I may be a bit slow on the up take here, but why does Plo Koon's light saber HAVE to be blue, exactly? Since he never ignited it in the films (the scene he did was cut from AOTC), wouldn't the color of the saber fall under the realm of EU and therefore NOT canon?

Heck, even Hasbro couldn't make up their minds as to the color. Their POTJ and 12" Plo Koon had green sabers as well.

I did see a photo in one of my books (I think it was from the AOTC years) that had him holding a blue saber, but that doesn't mean a thing. Obi-Wan had a green saber in AOTC but it was borrowed from somebody else. And who is to say that he didn't loose that saber like BOTH Obi-Wan and Anakin did during the Clone Wars.

Speaking of Clone Wars, I'm assuming that there is a good chance that Master Koon (boy does THAT sound strange) will make an appearance in the new CGI TV Show. Maybe, Sideshow has been notified that his saber will be green in the series.

It might be an oversight on Sideshow's part, but since they are in constant contact with Lusacfilm, there might be a solid reason as to why his saber is that color.

I'm just giving Sideshow the benefit of the doubt here. :D

As for me, since I didn't see the color of the saber in any of the movies, then Sideshow and Lucasfilm can make it any color (except NOT red!!!) that they like at this point and it's not going to bother me. I guess I'm just easy to please. :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

Watch ATOC again, right after Mace Windu says "I don't think so." In the widescreen version Plo is seen igniting his saber, and the blade is blue. On film = cannon. Green = wrong.
