I may be a bit slow on the up take here, but why does Plo Koon's light saber HAVE to be blue, exactly? Since he never ignited it in the films (the scene he did was cut from AOTC), wouldn't the color of the saber fall under the realm of EU and therefore NOT canon?
Heck, even Hasbro couldn't make up their minds as to the color. Their POTJ and 12" Plo Koon had green sabers as well.
I did see a photo in one of my books (I think it was from the AOTC years) that had him holding a blue saber, but that doesn't mean a thing. Obi-Wan had a green saber in AOTC but it was borrowed from somebody else. And who is to say that he didn't loose that saber like BOTH Obi-Wan and Anakin did during the Clone Wars.
Speaking of Clone Wars, I'm assuming that there is a good chance that Master Koon (boy does THAT sound strange) will make an appearance in the new CGI TV Show. Maybe, Sideshow has been notified that his saber will be green in the series.
It might be an oversight on Sideshow's part, but since they are in constant contact with Lusacfilm, there might be a solid reason as to why his saber is that color.
I'm just giving Sideshow the benefit of the doubt here.
As for me, since I didn't see the color of the saber in any of the movies, then Sideshow and Lucasfilm can make it any color (except NOT red!!!) that they like at this point and it's not going to bother me. I guess I'm just easy to please.
