for the umpteenth time the saber is not green its yellow, in the book plo koon has a yellow saber and that is where they got it from.

Sweet! I think they had that planned though because its even the right hilt. Unless they took a blade from Anakin or Obi and then cut the blade from hilt with Mace's saber. Either way, we are getting the "proper" color saber.

Ah! Good to know!

At first maybe I thought they based the green color on the supposed rule that Masters have green sabers and Padawans have blue colors. Then again, that wouldn't explain Mace Windu.

Is the blade of a Padawan lightsaber always blue?
The colour of the blade is determined by the colour of the gem used inside the hilt. As far as I remember, a jedi chooses the gem that suits him best, the moment he is send out to built his own LS as a test. Can be blue, can be green, can be yellow (?), can be purple (good old S.L. Jackson...)...

I don't know if this is a good thing or not (in the long run). All our complaining about the color has paid off and now we're going to be looking for every other little detail to be corrected about every other figure.

I think I read this in a SW EU book. It was explained in The Jedi Academy: Dark Apprentice.
The evil spirit of Exar Kun taught Gantoris, one of Luke's pupils, how to construct a lightsaber.[SIZE=-1]

I don't remember him telling Gantoris that the color reflected the kind of Jedi you were (though I explicitly remember that from KOTOR). I don't know if the color's represent any certain apsect of a Jedi or not.

You are correct about building a sabre as part of the trials though. I loved what Gantoris (or is it Candoris) did with his sabre though :D

Yes, that's right, Exar Kun didn't talk about the colour of the blade. I was just referring to how a lightsaber is made in general. It is enplaned by Luke when he reflects about the rather special dual-phaser lightsaber that Gantoris had build. Luke figured that Gantoris could have never made this weapon by him self, because it was to complicated. I remember that Gantoris used 2 gems to build it. I don't remember the colour though. But my guess is red!

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think is was red. Something wants me to say it was purple. And I was trying to talk about this without putting spoilers all over the place :rotfl

Cool fixed it for the masses that wanted it. Just get him shipped cause I want him now. LOL :lol
