I really like the face and don't think it looks overly unrealistic. After all, there are billions of different faces in the world. The fact that people are reminded of different celebrities when looking at the face further proves its realism.

However, I do think she looks 5-10 years too young and a little too cutsie.

Her face reminds me of the Bishoujo stuff that's making the rounds now...

I don't want "fan boy cute". I want "knock out sexy"...

Big difference.

Right. I believe her face looks much younger with respect to the rest of her body. Ivy is a grown up woman with an awesome sex appeal which 'no man can resist'. With the current face/look that she has, I believe not many will find that mature sex appeal that is portrayed in comics.

It looks cartoony. If you like the idea of a cartoony representation of the character, it is a huge win. If not, you will be disappointed and have reservations, and the face will always bug you a little.

The nose looks very small, and long and low on her face. Her nose is very close to her mouth. The eyes are also quite large and the bridge of the nose is also quite wide. It doesn't quite look like a real person. I find it reminiscent of Don Bluth's art.

A lot of Sideshow's PFs do look like real people. I would say most look realistic. Scarlet Witch looks realistic, for example. It has a strong Eastern European look to it, and could be a little prettier, but it looks like a real person.

I love everything about it; the pose, the details, the leaves, the colors, the regular plants, but I think the face is a BIG disappointment and based on the sneak peek that was the difference whether I was going to buy it or not. She's not a fave character though and there's so much stuff coming down the pike that I can put that $350 on something else.

But if the Wonder Woman PF gets a face like Ivy, Storm or Wanda I'm gonna rip my innards out.

:hi5: :exactly: face turns me off big time.. no sex appeal whatsoever coming out from that face..

With all due respect to different tastes, I personally hope they keep making faces like these. I think it looks great and definitely knockout beautiful to me.

:clap wow! Thanks bro. I really hope SS gets this made in PF. She is awsome! This pic takes the cake so far. :clap:clap:clap

:goodpost: The funny thing about people knocking the costume is that some of the other costumes they like (to put it 'briefly') aren't extremely far off from this. Even if someone doesn't like the character, let the rest of the fans enjoy it, just don't buy it. Darth Talon did pretty well and she wasn't that well known.

Oh don't play that card because it has nothing to do with that. The reason people get upset is because they don't look like the iconic art of those characters.

Iconic? These characters have had many interpretations from different artists. You could aim to sculpt these in Jim Lee style or Michael Turner style since people love those artists females. The problem with that? Those artists females mostly look the same. Go check and confirm that.

I understand why Sideshow tries to give each one of these statues their own look and soul. A sculpt is different than a drawing representation after all. The problem lies with the fact that you can't make everyone happy. Most people want cute standard pretty face like in a Jim Lee drawing. They pretty much want a standard attractive face female statue with no unique look dressed like their favorite character. Give people something other than that and the cries of not accurate, not pretty, not how I remember her start.

That's what I am saying.

Nope. You need to see more women.

As if there are so many of you that can't see the age in her face. A girl that can hold onto her youth long enough to achieve a body like that is exceptional, and exactly what a woman like Isley would be. It's written all over those eyes and the curl at the corner of her mouth. I'm glad the artist was not hindered by the cliches of female aging.

I have nothing against seeing more women. Examples?

Truly, some people literally can not be pleased. Everyone thinks each statue should confirm to THEIR version of beauty, and that version changes from person to person. Impossible.

Any given sculpt can have only one face, or at most two depending on the figure, and this is what we're getting. Buy or not-buy, there is no try.

I ordered the PI on the sixth through the phone and I received an order beginning with PO.....

I did not receive a confirmation email, but on my account it says processing. They have not charged my card the NRD. Is this normal or should I give them a call to make sure the order was placed?

Eh? What kind of reply is that? This face isn't even remotely realistic. It looks considerably anime'ish.

Now I want to make it clear that I don't mind the face. I'm indifferent to it. It could be considerably better but considering Newman's last 2 female sculpts, it's a homerun.

What easily makes up for it is the fantastic pose, hair and base.

Call them. You should have received the confirmation email. If it says processing in your order history that's good. But I'd call just to double-check. Don't worry about the deposit. It's up to them when they take it out. The longer you can hold onto your money the better right? :lol

Honestly I'm so glad they didn't go with a face like that. The current one has much more personality to it.

Now that White Rabbit character I've read nothing about yet but who on Earth could create her and NOT pair her with the Mad Hatter??? I mean :slap:cuckoo:

i dont know if its already been mentioned but it was pointed out by my buddy and long time member here that shes looks like this chick....
