Scyther, Lugia, Diglett.. all great choices. I'd really love to see them tackle Ghastly, Haunter, and Gangar.

If I had to pick one... Paras... can't explain why but I've always loved that design.

BUT, Gyrados would be a good fit for the line with the exception of it's huge size, unless they scaled it down. Scyther would be a good fit. I wonder if they'll stick with first gen or branch out.
