Biggest bad-@$$ TV or film spy/agent?

Yeah, McClane didn't give those wimpy terrorists the old Lost Boys vampire bite. Hans Gruber is an amateur compared to Fayed. That guy is for real. He nuked Valencia California off the map, Hans only took out the Nakatomi plaza building.

Come on guys - Jack just took a bite out a terrorists neck - how much more bad ass can you get.

Jack is Back!

BTW - I'd pay big money to see a Jack vs Bond (Craig) battle royale.

Actually - now that I think about it - Horatio Caine could cause some problems.

Lets have a Jack, Horatio, Bond battle royale.

Horatio would just tilt his head to the side and the bad guys would run away screaming!!! :rotfl :stick j/k I really like Horatio, but they really need to get him a neck brace or something... :D

Sadly, I must say that I will have to change my vote from Chuck Norris to Jack Bauer after last night's episode. I mean, who sucker punches their own brother and then tortures him? That would be the bad-@$$ Jack Bauer. Bauer was always my #2 behind Norris, but he just got a BIG boost last night...

:rotfl Horatio is the Man! I loved the episode last season where he got out of the ambulance and started shooting at the bad guys western-style. :lol But you can't forget THE POSE:

I'd love to see a Bauer, Bond, Caine (or any combination) cross-over. I love it when the CSIs have cross-overs.

Chris, dont' forget to put in a word for a Horatio figure! :monkey3

Well as much as I like Horatio Caine, he's not a spy or secret agent.
Jack Bauer? Definitely the agent of today.
But how soon we forget the agents of yesteryear who were there first.
OSI agent Steve Austin. Blown up. Rebuilt. Battled robots, Fembots, Bigfoot and a Venus Space Probe. Victorious every time. And he had to do it in a leisure suit.

This thread is another painful reminder that I've GOT to start watching 24. Anyone have some DVD sets they wanna get rid of?

:)

"Secret" agent is such a loose term. When was the last Bond villian that didn't know Bond was a spy? The President and terrorists are all familiar with Jack Bauer (1st season clearly shows this). Drug dealers and gangsters all know of Horatio Caine, so they really aren't that much different. Horatio is still an "agent." The only difference is that Horatio doesn't ever break laws like Bauer and Bond love to do. I just have a feeling he will eventually snap... and get away with it :devil Afterall, a CSI would know how to get away with something right? If they take out bad guys, have a gun, and a badge, they belong in this discussion right? :D

Hey Andy, you are not alone. I just started watching 24 this month. I'm just starting Season 3. I plan on being done just as series 6 ends/comes to DVD. I suggest checking your local library system. Mine has all the seasons and you can check them out a disc at a time. Very sweet, and free.

Now for this tip, you got sculpt either a Jack Bauer, Dr. House, or Horatio Caine sometime in the future :D

Thanks for the tip Buttmunch! The library didn't even occur to me, that's exactly what I'll do.

As for the sculpts... lol... David Caruso nausiates me, but I could get into a Kiefer sculpt! I worked in his makeup trailer on a movie once, was a pretty cool guy.

If you're new to 24, I'd say you could start with the new Season 6 premiere DVD and start following this season. Personally I don't think the show started to be really strong until Season 4, but you don't need to know what happened on the previous "day" to follow the current season.

I agree, 24 begins with season 4. The first 3 seasons are joke in retrospect. They are contrived, melodramatic and soap-opera-ish compared to the last few seasons. Season 4 kicks the series in high gear and never lets up. And this season, Fayed is for real. No more f***ing around with petty little terrorist threats. It's on now. 24 is the exact opposite of X-Files. It started out lame and got better and better with each season wheras X-Files jumped the shark around the fifth season and died a slow and prolonged death.

Really? I won't be lost if I skip seasons 1-3?
You will miss some character references but for the most part each season is standalone. Some things from previous seasons tie in but they aren't that essential. Of course you will be missing Kim Bauer's amazing encounter with a cougar in Season 2.

Like I said, I'm just starting series 3 right now. I think you really should go in order if possible. Season 1 has a big impact on Jack for the next season (2) and season 2 sets up 3. So I imagine 3 sets up 4. Library is definately the way to go. If your's doesn't have it, you can request the library buy it (at least you can here in Utah).

If you ever do sculpt a Jack Bauer, let me know! :D And while you don't like Horatio you would have nailed him. He has all of those little wrinkles and you did so well on CSM (BTW, I have your CSM figure photo from Michael Crawford's Toy Pix and I love it, especially since you signed it :D He is still one of my favoirte figures and I still think Sideshow's best likeness figure to date).
