DBZ in a 1/4 scale would be a huge hit I'd think. I'm surprised not one has tried getting the rights.

Truth be told I don't think it would work out. Medicom tried making their DBZ stuff and I don't think those sold well. Bandai's Figuarts also did not sell well until they started letting us buy it and apparently we are the reason they even make them now :lol

I just don't think DBZ fans would want big statues like that. I know I wouldn't. DBZ lends itself to small poseable figures with lots of special effects. I would only entertain the idea of a statue for a select few characters, mostly just Piccolo.

I actually really want the Medicos Kai statue but the v1 is a ***** to find, when I was in Tokyo I only saw the v2.

Does anyone make 1/4 scale DBZ statues?

I think that these diaramas are about 1/4th scale . They are made by Kenneth Ho a semi professional sculptor/painter .

Here it is...
Hopefully it will turn-out as good as the sketch!
Very Filmation-esque...

Now if we could get at least ONE of the many "concepts" produce, it would be awesome... :lol

I like this pose, so much better then evil Lynn. Now all we need is a low ES to insure this line does not get into trouble since these are not he man or skeletor. My 2 cents.

I would like to ask PCS to stop posting any new sneaks until He-man is up for sale at least. He's not coming until 2014, so why would they post all of these concepts which are more likely to come out late in 2014 or maybe 2015, if the line lasts that long. I would rather they hold off showing us all this cool stuff since it may never see the light of day.

Yeah, I for one very much disagree with that. I love seeing the process.

I think Beastman is just great. I am especially pleased with the pose.

It's going to be a bitter pill to swallow when this line ends and we have a half dozen concepts revealed that never get released though. They should at least wait until something goes into production, because He-man is already a couple months delayed for the pre-order. Imagine what the delays will be like once they get into actual production :gah:

Just because the toyline might end next year, it doesn't mean MOTU just goes away.

MOTU enjoys great popculture status and we have a new movie in the works.

Turn that frown upside down brou! MOTU has much life in it. :)

I know this PCS stuff isn't related to the current toy line, but I wonder how many MOTU fans are willing to pay $250-350 for 1/4 scale collectibles of anyone but He-man and Skeletor? Also, that movie is in the works in development hell and has been for some time, right? How many years have they been "working" on it?

I noticed there was nothing MOTU as far as finished product in this last newsletter. Just more concept sketches :lol

Were the sketches funny then?

Well Jon M Chu was only signed to it a few months ago so it's early days yet.

I hope it does get released eventually Eamon, because that would mean more MOTU products on the market. I am just skeptical because it's been talked about for so long and I would think if a studio really wanted to make it happen they would have already.
