Man, this and the Katsumodo figure are going to look so damn cool on the shelf together. Even if they're not characters I care a great deal about, the incredible armors alone make them worth having.

I didn't see the update posted in here yet, so

I missed out on this. Are there any places that still have him available? (Not ebay)... and if not... are there any chances of them doing another run?

Keep scanning Ebay for a decent price or pick up the Pangaea version. Pangaea version isn't bad, but needs a wash done on the armor so it doesn't look so toyish. Headsculpt on it is not bad but needs a repaint to get the details to come out.

Jeez what imagination and skill goes into making such a figure. Same with the Nathan one.

Anyone have photos with the helmet and mask on? I seen a video where they did a comparison with a non-Tom head that doesn't have rooted hair and it seems the helmet looks and stays better on.

Hell yes! POP toys just announced on their Facebook page that they are doing another run of the Deluxe version of this!!!

Just saw that. Excellent news for those that missed out. Even though I got him a couple of months ago I just now this past weekend “completed” the look, assembling the armor and those arm plates was a nightmare. LOL

Definitely have to say it’s one of, if not the best figure i own in my collection. Really excited for Katsumoto and Uijio.

Is kghobby the best place to order this guy?

It’s where I ordered mine and had no problems. Item arrived in perfect condition and KG provided me with tracking that I was able to follow the delivery from HK to the US. I’ve actually ordered and preordered a number of items with them since then. I see they have preorders up for the figure then.

New custom version from Viper. About $400 for sculpted hair version. Rooted hair price to be announced.

Real cooper chain mail on the armor and stainless steel for katana.

This latest (Viper) version for the win. The sculpted hair looks miles better than Poptoy's faux hair.

Third pic looks to be faux hair for Viper. That looks amazing but who knows if production version can even come close.

Just POed the PT reissue. Had I seen the Viper one earlier I may have opted for the rooted hair version depending on price. It really looks to be very high quality. I’m not familiar with anything else they’ve done.

I got mine today and unfortunately the bag around his head was super tight and completely rubbed the paint on the sculpt off. OR the guy who had it before me (who sold it as new) had him fall over face first and packed him back up as "new". It seemed sealed when I got it but who knows. Anybody know anyone who does touch-ups?

Outside of that I put him on my shooting table and lit him up and styled his hair a bit with a little beard oil and beard comb. I touched the scuff up in photoshop and he looks incredible.

That sucks about the paint scuff, but I love the rest of the photos! Now take some when you get the rest of the armor on! LOL

This figure is always so photogenic and I love seeing folks taking snaps of it and what they’re doing for posing, hair styling or outdoor shoots.

Had this guy for a while now, one of the best figures in my samurai collection. Added the white tiger to represent Katsumoto?s vision of Algren from the beginning of the film.

Yeah I definitely prefer the sculpted hair on that, but the likeness still feels a bit generic to me. And I'm not really liking the much darker red they used on the armor. The Poptoys figure seems like it would stand out a whole lot better on display, so I'm happy to keep that order.
