As for the 1/6 heads, everything is explained in the first post of the first page. Basically, you just have to contact Chris Howes, tell him what you want (number of sculpts, painted or unpainte, drilled or not...) paypal him the money, and here you are!
as for the outfits/accessories, Nanjin is the person to contact!

And, yes, welcome! :D

Hopefully enough weapons and uniforms get made that they can be purchased without buying the heads?

Ask nanjin. He was planning on making enough for those who had ordered the heads. If he thinks more people will want them, then I sure he'll have more made.

Its like a race, heads or uniforms first?? :D

I hope I won't win :banghead

Anyhow, eat you heart out with this communicator. I think it is too thick! I want to get hold of one of those Diamond actual size communicator to compare. But as it is now, a few refinements will do the job.

BTW, I am still working on whether to use the Utility Belts. I think without the belts will be better. Comments?

i think it looks great, although the covering should be a metal mesh cover.

here is a pic:

I made enough for those who ordered with Chris and a few extra. If others want them too, I better get a head count to cover them. A secord order will cost money. I might not have enough money to make more because I am in HongKong (bought too much of other toys). However, I don't want to be mean, but only those who ordered the heads will get these accessories and uniforms at cost. I will mark-up a few dollars for the rest to cover my sweat! I sweat a lot running around doing this. I mean real sweat; is humid in HongKong and I sweat easily. But I am happy to see everyone is happy about this project.

I only worry about the boots. I think everything else will come out fine.

Thank you for the picture!

You think I will overlook that? I won't Sir! I will not disappoint my fellow collectors! I want to make sure everyone will drop their jars and go where no men had gone before!

I don't need a utility belt. If it's easier without the belts, I think it will work. The belts might add to much thickness to the uniforms. What ever works best for you will be fine for me.

Dude, this is WIP and I'm already dropping my jaw at the level of detail and the passion you're putting into this. :google
Amazing. Seriously, you have my undying respect! :clap

I was waiting to see how the heads came out first but if I can get on board now for the outfits and accessories count me in for all three heads. :)

I'm VERY impressed with these accessories. If you want to be totally accurate, here is a shot of the DST communicator from the side. As you can see, it's more of a wedge shape and is actually thicker than the prototype at the bottom. The hinges for the cover also stick out from the body quite a bit. Of course, there are limits to what can be realistically achieved at this scale -- I would be perfectly happy with the current version.

Somehow, I can't see the picture. Can you repost the picture or better yet send it to my email [email protected]. Greatly appreciate your help.

This commission is getting more and more exciting. I'm looking forward to all this good TOS stuff.

I sent a PM to Chris as well as an email, I can't wait for his response so that I can get on this list!

Also, I want to say that hey, a few bucks - even more than a few - sent your way, nanjin, is more than enough for such a great job!

On the Communicator - DON'T go by the DST if you want accuracy. The huge wedge shape toward the bottom is NOT canon to the show.

Here's a great resource on the communicator, including blueprints of an original, maybe it would help: https://herocomm.com

DST's is based on one available from Star Trek: The Experience in Vegas before it closed, which is based on the HMS model (the folks who made them for the TOS remake "Trials and Tribble-ations" in DS9). As you can see, I'm a bit of a Trek prop junkie :)

The one you have is a *little* clunky, but the shape is actually pretty good. Good job to the sculptor!

Thanks for your "Professional ST Prop Junkie" advise! Please check out this post as often as possible so you can comment on these accessories. Can you check out my previous posts and see how are the phaser and triorder?

Also please give me the background regarding the utility belt and your opinion.

I had the Master Replicas one as well and I seem to recall that it was about the same. Is it also inaccurate? In any case, I certainly don't pretend to be an expert, but I'd say that originals shown on that site do have something of a wedge shape. The DST one seems to be exaggerated. Again, though, we're talking about a 1/6 scale accessory that's probably 1.5cm long, so I'm not sure it's productive to get too focused on every detail.
