Please post your SS Star Wars re-paints. Try to explain how you did it and what tools and paints that you used.

this is the only one i've done so far (i didnt think Luke needed anything doing to him) and is more of a resculpt than just a paint. But here it is anyway...... you can see what I did in pictures better than words if you go to this page :) (oh and the hair looks lighter in some of the pics on that page, it was before i put a dark wash over it)

I still need to cast this, for when my Sith Vader version arrives!

Here is my Sith Anakin.... a LOT of work went into his creation. First I weathered the costume, using paint and fire to make it seem as though he had been really fighting amongst the lava and embers on Mustafar. I think I went a little overboard, but I really wasn't going for "film accuracy" anyway.

His head was entirely repainted. I wish I had another shot at it, as my skills have improved since then and I know I could do better.... but... I used Model Master Acrylic paints as always. I darkened his hair and added sweat.... His eyes have actually been repainted since these pics...

Here is Han, at first....when I got him... I just touched up the hair and drybrushed it to get it to a lighter shade. Not much to do with him.... but later, those eyebrows just started to bother me... so I removed them and repainted them with a light shade of brown. I'm rather happy with how they turned out...

Before new eyebrows....

WOW! Great job guys! Keep em coming. They are very inspirational. I just have to grab my ballz and give it a shot. Are you using acrylic paints?

I'm expectiny my Anakin early this week, and it's AMAZING how much better he looks with a different shade on the lips and highlights in the hair! I think I'm gonna hhave to try this!!!

My Ani,as you can see, I'm a real amateur at paintjobs :lol
what i did was to try and mix a color as close to the proto as possible,a lil red, white, redbrown, flesh and believe it or not, blue (?!)
i wanted it to come out slightly purplish-pink..didnt want it to look too pink.
so after everything i drybrushed flesh over the edges.
blued the eyes abit, glossed both the irises and mouth, voila
also highlighted the hair, tho i ain't satisfied with it..gonna work on it more.
sorry for the sucky pictures...i'm a bad photographer

Hey Darky, what color(s) did you use for Anies lips?

Well, EF.... I used a mixture of Red, Burnt Sienna and Warm Flesh Tone paints. All Acrylic Model Master's paints.

Though lately, for hair.... I highly recommend Apple Barrell cheap a$$ Wal-Mart acrylic paint.... it rocks. Especially the brown. I used that brand for Anakin, Han and Jack Sparrow. It's very nice.

yeah, I'm going to, mainly because I'll want my Sith Vader to look as good when it arrives... and there's no way I'm doing all that sculpting again, lol

I might make a couple available though, just 'cause I know a few people would like to upgrade the SS figures that they've already bought.

If you do cast that, I'd totally be interested in buying a finished head. :p

Hey, throw me on the list of those interested. It looks like a mini Hayden so Id def be interested in a Jedi and Sith finished head.

Man thats GREAT! You should apply for Sideshow. LOL. That is way better than their original sculpt.

I for sure want a cast. Just PM me. I dont mind painting at all. When it comes to that type of art though not so much. LOL!
