Why is he so dirty looking?

Cause hes a dirty boy! Look at that neck line! :p

Heres the close up of anakin, i hate taking direct pictures of him with lighting on him never comes out good, but its night time and my cam sucks taking pics unless theres enough light on it:

Nothin to fancy, but it works.

Also got some double sided clear tape finally and got those undershirts taped down in the proper places and got obi-wans boots snug down where they should be so they aren't so poofy, helps so much.

Great repaints John, but I would still darken QuiGon's skin and make his nails a bit more natural looking.

Thanks Justin. Yeah QuiGon is washed out big time in this photo. I just wanted to lighten the hair at first because it was nearly the color of his robe. But now I think I will fix the skin tone and the lilac/mauve fingernails. Who knew he wore nail polish?

Ok, well....got on a painting spree this weekend... (waiting on my current commissions to arrive) and repainted Luke. I am very pleased with how he turned out... but like with Anakin... I only have a few decent pics to show you...until tomorrow when I have a few with sunlight.

He looks fantastic in person, way better than he does here... And after taking these I noticed his right eye was smaller than his left and corrected that. So tomorrow expect better lighting AND a fixed eye. :D

Looks good Josh but, um... you really gotta do something about that lighting!

I know..... I need a decent light source for my "night shots".... I'm too strapped to afford it. :lol

Maybe if business keeps up like it has been lately.... :chew

i wasn't too happy with my repaint of vaderkin, so i thinned the eyebrows...hey guys, i actually took a big risk n tried using airbrush cleaning solvent to rease the paint, so to speak..it worked like a charm!
i had some spare alclad2 airbrush cleaner, so i dabbed the thing on, used the brush to clean off, surprisingly the flesh paint held up.
i redid the eyes on mine, for like the upteenth time...
made him look darn angry...
hope you guys like it, feedback's appreciated...
now to decide if i should burn up his costume
again, i'm pretty much an amateur...

Looks great!!! Not as surprised!

I think he's about to have to fend off you cat though...:D

My methods are pretty much the same as DA's. If you need to start somewhere, isuggest, as ever, Tony DiTerlizzi's masterful how-to.

The skin tones on your Master Windu are unbelieveable!!! What techniques did you use thorughout the skin to create that organic look? What sequential steps? Thanks!!

Thanks WG...:lol

Yeah, I figured.... it was either surprised or sleepy... I went with a more subdued "I could care less" look...:rotfl

It works a LOT better in person, much like the original paint apps... Oddly enough.

Dark I am a total fan of yours. This luke however never neede a re-touch. I just hope you have another on hand. The luke figure is what made me disappointed in all the others. I think they knocked him out of the park. To try to re-paint him is a feat indead. Keep them coming though. You are AWESOME!:chew

I used the same three step process I use for all my figures. Start with your base skintone, then do a wash a few shades darker, than drybrush lighter and lighter shades of your base skin tone until you've got what you want.

Then, to blend it all and give the skin texture and variation, I layered some pastels in various shades on until I got it the way I wanted. The pastels add a richness and life to the paintwork that baffles me, really. I'm not sure how it works as well as it does. Although some may not like the finished texture, I think it's more like skin. Seal it all with clearkote, or whatever clear matte acrylic sealer you fancy. The pastels really pop if you slightly overspray the sealer, saturating the pastel dust.

hey guys..thogut i'd post my han repaint here....actually it happened by accident...was repainting his lips, then i made a tiny mistake...so i accidentally wiped the factory paint right off the side of his cheek, using tt airbrush cleaner (incidentally i used it on vaderkin, no probs) :(
so i whipped out my airbrush, redid the whole damn thing...
first two pics are before i clearcoated it, the others are the finished product...still have to flatcoat it though.
tell me wadcha guys think..
considering my hasbro sid, vaderkin, anakin and this, this'll be my fourth repaint, but first whole head repaint.i need practice...LOTS or practice!!!!
don't ask my why, but this repaint made han look less pudgy...maybe it's just me :(
thanks guys!

oh yeah, forgot to mention, i redid his hairline and followed the moulding, cos mine arrived with lotsa felshtoned hair...ahhh the wonders of QC...
