Each Planet of the Apes - The Ultimate DVD Edition is stamped with a limited edition number, 1-10,000. Numbers 1-100 have been stocked by Amazon.com and will be shipped randomly to customers who order this item. Please note we can't guarantee you will receive one of the lower numbers in this series.
Dr_Zaius said:I ordered mine off of Amazon. They state that they will have edition numbers 1 - 100. If you are wanting a low number, I guess that would be the place to go. I don't care about the number as much as I do the Ape head. Wish sideshow would release some new Apes with this upcoming event but since it isn't Star Wars or LOTR I guess we are out of luck

Any thoughts?
tomandshell said:Don't forget the main reason I am buying this set: This is the first time that four of the five original films have been presented in 16x9 for those of us with widescreen television sets! That alone warrants the purchase of at least the new $35 boxed set through Amazon.
elwood49 said:Agreed. For those of us with widescreen sets, anamorphic widescreen is an absolute necessity. I don't have the original Apes box (just have the 2 disc anniversary of the original- not interested in the sequels), but the extra 33% resolution is definitely worth an upgrade for those who do have it. I'm sure the transfer will be cleaned up as well, and hopefully Fox made a new HD master.
