You think your's is high! Try #9336! :monkey5
Wow Lonnie it looks just like you just sneeked in in time. Were you one of those that paid $135? I think the people that got in early with the $125 may have got one of the first 100, not sure, need stats.

No, I ordered early at the $125.99 price with free shipping! The first 100 were randomly shipped...

Wow free shipping too. Random you say, blah, don't that just bust your apenoids.

I have been watching the Apes movies throughout the weekend from my new box set. It's been a while since I've seen any of the sequels since I've been waiting for some 16X9 DVDs and I'm very happy with the transfers. I really like how this series comes full circle in the end.

All the weekend, everybody has been telling me how creepy that monkey bust is.

I must say my feelings are hurt. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

I keep reading reviews on the new Ape transfers and everybody is saying that Beneath is too bright. Any one else notice this? I compared mine to the transfer that was released with the Evolution box set a few years ago. The new one is brighter but I think it looks better than the copy released with the Evolution set.

I have nothing to compate it to, since this is the first copy I have owned. I have never bought them before because they weren't enhanced for widescreen sets until now. Transfer looks fine to me!

Makes a person wish the figures went full circle too, doesn't it? :monkey2

:happybday Protozaius. Hope you had a good day, and something good turned up. A creepy monkey would be excellent. I hope mine comes this week. :monkey1 . :fest

Thanks for the birthday wishes....

Here's what greeted me this morning!

It's an original production sketch of Zaius from Return of the Planet of the Apes. And with the series now on DVD I got to pop the disc in and see it... and it's in the first episode! :monkey5 :monkey5 :monkey5

An original!!! That rocks!!! I have a copy of that one floating around somewhere, but, alas, no original artwork. :monkey2

Well, as of today I'm 43.:stick

And I too remember seeing the films in the theaters. The first one I saw was Beneath when I was seven. I didn't get to see the first one until my theater had a "Three Apes for the Price of One" promotion after "Escape" had been out awhile... a marathon of the ape film released at that time.

And thanks guys for all of the birthday wishes... :family

it means a lot. :D
