I've watched enough of the various incarnations of the show to get the general vibe & the gist of it all.

That fan thing is just stupidly inappropriate & over the top - it totally doesn't work. :lol

I saw a few seconds and saw them shooting assault rifles? What? Dumb. I turned it off once Katee showed up. I like the Nolanized world of Batman. I think it worked for that iteration of the character but it has no place with Power Rangers.... Stop making everything dark and gritty, folks. It's tired, old, and mostly inappropriate.

Tommy was my favorite Power Ranger as a kid. I loved that green color he wore and I also loved how he started off as a villain, was redeemed, and became a hero. That was pretty complex story telling for such a stupid television program. I tried rewatching MMPR on Netflix a couple years back but it was just horrible. I really feel for my parents who had to occasionally endure that crap for my sake.

Yeah it's being over the top gritty, which doesn't work. It needs to have a level of campyness to it. I only liked the suits, that's it.

He also stated that the reboot wouldn't work without him... really? The first like 15 episodes of season 1 worked perfectly fine before him. He's a giant egomaniac, and I've read about a lot of people saying at cons he LOVES the smell of his own farts. Him and Austin St. John have had a beef since season 1, since JDF won't let it go.

JDF was also a real **** head to David Yost (Blue Ranger) by pulling pranks on him. I saw in an interview with Yost telling what he did to him, like putting a bug in a sandwich and giving it to him, which he ate and he told him about it later.

This is the pompous ass that JDF is.

Everyone bullied him for being gay, even the producers and the people behind the scenes, it's a pretty sad story, not surprised to see him doing it too

What I really hate is that this short is getting a lot of praise, A Lot.... it's going to make Lionsgate they need to make it into another Hunger Games type movie, I understand people like fan edits and this guy has fans, but this short is kind of, pretty stupid to be honest. some people are really going crazy over the short... too much hype

Like I said before, No suits, No monsters, no aliens, No robots... it is Not Power Rangers, (or power rangers in name only) Even if the power rangers grew up and became adults and left that childish stuff behind, Rita and the creatures she made would still be the same, goofy as hell.

Nearly brought me to tears seeing Trini again. She is such a sweetheart from all the stories I've heard from the original cast. What the hell's up with that cameraman....

Shoot, you think MMPR is complex storyline for a kids show, watch the original japanese version. Green Ranger even pimp slaps little kids lol (before he turns good)

Video has already been pulled.

I was a big fan of this show when it first appeared. Jason was my favourite and I hated when he, Zach and Trini just suddenly left the show. I think I watched up to the 3rd version and then that was it.

Tommy always irritated me with his Green Ranger song, that then changed to the White Ranger not long afterwards. Even as a kid I thought he had way too much focus on him. Plus the guy just kept going on and on and never seemed to want to leave the show.

I listened to this great interview that Amy Jo Johnson gave a several years back. How Austin St John's name was really Jason and she didn't seem to like him very much. She talked about the time they went to Hawaii and there was no security and they were mobbed by thousands of fans. I felt really bad for her and the others when you hear how little they were paid to work and they weren't able to be in the Union. Now wonder 3 of the originals left so quick.

I don't know how a grown up version of Power Rangers would work. For me it really only appeals to kids. I've watched episodes in recent years and it's pretty difficult to get through without thinking how lame it is lol. I had to add it to my "Only for childhood years" viewings, along with Full House.

As much as I don't like the video, it was a ****** move by PR's owner company, these people made that short out of nothing but love for the franchise (except the director I guess :lol) but you can tell Shankar did.

The production values, performances and other were amazing for a "fan made" something, which is rare in fan made stuff.

it would work exactly the same way transformers is. (as far as the style and humor and over the top essence) the fights would be the same as pacific Rim.

i have always thought that Michael Bay would actually be a good choice for directing this, and the fan short proves my point, other directors will try to make it gritty and serious but Bay's goofiness would actually work for PR

as bad as transformers were...that style would fit power rangers.

little kids could find the video and see the power rangers being killed :nono

Little kids can find all sorts of crap on the internet if they have ****** parents who offer ****** or no guidance at all.

Do little kids actually watch PR anymore? I thought their whole fan base were the same kids who used to watch the show in the 90's.

Parents who watched PR as kids probably make their kids watch the current show lol

well the video is on youtube, so if a little kid is allowed on youtube and they search power rangers they will see the black ranger doing drugs and killing people :rotfl

C'mon we grew up with more messed up things :lol

Besides, I really do believe there are few to no kids watching PR anymore.

Nickelodeon still plays it, and Toys R us always has Power rangers stuff for sale, some kids must be buying them or else why would there be so much merch around. Im just saying, I understand why Saban wanted it gone.

Maybe if they upload it to some porn site then they won't have any trouble :rotfl

Not kids no, the same fans from the 90's now grown up. :lecture:, I understand too, because they're dicks :huh

Anyway, it's still up on facebook, kids will see it there too, even if kids should not be on facebook.

Finally found a video that hadn't been removed.

It wasn't too bad. Too bad it was centred more on Tommy, they always overused that character in the show.

I think it was probably a little too dark overall, but it was a pretty good short film, which managed to get 2 actors that are actually known.

Obviously Saban was going to get this shut down. There's no way an actual PR is going to be anywhere near as violent as this.
