That's a really good idea, but I really want my Rick Blaine in trench coat and hat. I've got one right now, looks absolutely nothing like Bogey, but he sits on my shelf waiting for a better replacement.

Have you tried replacing the head with the Frontline equivalent - I've heard its really good - better than the pics seem even. I'm extremely pleased with the Kurgan heads I got from Lonnie

It's a small one, probably 8 inches tall. But thanks for the idea.

Sold!

He looks weird with that Live and Let Die gun though.

They probably included that to give it that '70s look since that was Moore's heyday as Bond (c'mon, FYES, Octo*****, View to a Kill sucked!!!)

EDIT: Wow...autocensor kicks in on Bond titles too!!! LOL)

I thought Octovagina was alright.

Moore was just getting too old to play Bond at that point. Moonraker jumped the shark for Moore's Bond films IMO. Loved Live and Let Die, Man with the Golden Gun, and Spy Who Love Me though!

Ha, I loved Moonraker, my second favorite Moore film behind TSWLM.

The only movie where his age really showed to me was AVTAK, but that movie was so awful it wouldn't have mattered how young he was.

He seemed a bit stiff to me in Octopusssy. (He he, censor that machine!) I doubt I'll pose him with this gun, I think I'm going to pose the Legacy editions in less action poses, but we'll see.

AVTAK was the worst ever. The Golden Gate Bridge battle had such potential, but it just fell flat on its face. Although, Walken looked quite humorous with his Billy Idol hairdo!! :D

As much as Roger Moore is my favorite Bond, I am happy with my LALD one (It is also my favorite Bond film.) Which headsculpt did they use? Is it the MWTGG one? I think the LALD one looks better.

One a different note, I wonder if they will resculpt Dalton's hair for the Legacy series.

For the record every Bond film is an inceredible piece of filmaking unsurpassed by any other feeble movie efforts. Some are just more incredible than others. :D
I sincerely hope that SS is using the Legacy collection to test the waters for further "regular" releases.
After preordering Roger Moore today I noticed that the pictures have two guns not mentioned in the description:

The Legacy Collection Roger Moore as James Bond Figure includes:
  • Authentic Roger Moore portrait
  • Fully articulated body with 30+ points of articulation
  • Expertly tailored fabric costume
  • Accessories include:
    • Poker Chip w/ Roger Moore print
    • Martini Glass
    • Walther PPK
    • Vodka Bottle
    • Interchangeable hands
    • Watch
  • 12" figure display stand featuring the 007 logo print
Hmm nothing about the .44 or the Golden gun and the Walther PPK that is mentioned is not shown in the pictures. I am soooo confused

The interchangeable hands seem odd too. My guess is that for some reason or other the gun is attached to the hand. Which doesn't make sense, but its all I got. I hope he comes with the Golden Gun.

Well, we're getting Dalton soon. It looks decent from the preview, but nothing special. I'm starting to get a bit down on this kitbash series. I'm on the cusp of canceling my orders. It just might be pre-buyer-remorse striking. We shall see.

I like all the others, they're all more or less new outfits and outfits that will be nice to have Bond in. However Dalton did seem a bit disappointing, it looked like he was wearing a tux sans tie. But that's one difficult thing about him IMO because he only had two movies it doesn't seem like he had as many outfits as the other fellas. I guess it doesn't fit in with the whole Legacy ideal, but I think it mighta been better if Dalton were wearing a field outfit. I'm sure I'll wind up getting him though...the completist in me demands it.

BTW Did his face look really shiny to anyone?

No less than Brosnan's face in his preview. :)

As for the kit-bashing that is the Legacy Collection, I think SSC is capitalizing on the renewed interest in Bond due to Daniel Craig and Casino Royale. Look at when they're being released: 4th quarter (same time as the movie).

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if we get Lazenby very soon and then everything goes quiet until the movie hits. Then, the first figures will ship out, and we'll get our last pre-order: Daniel Craig.

Even if I'm way off mark with that, this is still a great way for new Sideshow customers who missed out on most of the earlier Bond figures to have a full set of the different actors.
