Mine has the magnet issue, loose bits making noise, LED problem....Plus of course the dodgy BD paint star and rough casting I am seeing on all of them. I am most disappointed it is so dark in person and the lenses so light, really does not give the right authentic look. If the lenses were swappable I would do that, but they would be easy to modify with the mesh in the way.

I like the base, though the paint could have been better on it too. Man, not sure what to do, getting sick of this with SS, seems like every release now.

Asked for a refund and received a reply asking me to keep it for a $50 credit. After the warrior lsb, the big chap lsb and this, a lot of potential profit must have been lost due to the complete lack of care on the production line.

Glad i skipped on this, i had a feeling this would happen, the p1 bio seems like a simple piece to replicate but its not, those blast marks are a joke

Anyone have a side by side pic with Scar? I know they're similar but Scar's always came across "wider" and this P1 looks just like my old Scar exactly and it just doesn't scream P1 in shots and/or in person for some reason.

I think it is the paint/lenses. Looks more like Scar pre mark than the P1.

It is different, but more similar than it should be I think. it's very dark here, but I'll post a few very bad flash shots in a minute. Bear in mind my scar has been heavily modded and then dropped.

Here you go, Scar is definitely slightly smaller over all, he's pretty much just resting on the stand in a couple of pictures, no way you could wall mount this. I'll get some better pictures before I get rid of it as the flash is doing no favors for either mask here....

Thanks, Python. I really wanted to love this piece and was almost cancelled the P1 bust last month since I thought this would be the ultimate P1 piece to have but I've seriously been very wrong and mine will be going back Monday:gah:

Whoooah!! You're right! :gah:

Don't know how I missed that.. Guess I was so busy repairing the other stuff,
and they also did a nice job covering the hole completely without any trace..

Thanks!

Looks like you are missing one hole in that area. There should be provisions for 3 wires on that section. Does look much better though, the casting quality is pretty low.

It's funny though.. the two holes that's left on mine matches the ones on the mask in these videos from Stan Winston School Of Character Arts, where the mask they're working on, is mentioned to derive from the original moulds.

There's also a clip showing Stan Winston and Matt Rose with the original predator, and that mask shows three holes, but if you look closely, you can see that the ribbed tubing on that piece isn't there, as is also the case with the casting Jamie Grove in the video is working on. The Sideshow mask (also sculpted by Matt Rose) has the ribbed tubing, which I'm quite sure is seen in the movie too. Guess a couple of variants were made before filming (besides the completely different Gort mask)

Could someone please provide me with a picture of this area on their mask?

Would appreciate a nice picture taken straight on, and probably a couple from different angles,
so that I can determine exactly where to drill the missing hole. :)

Thanks!

Here you go, this area is a complete mess on mine, but it should help you locate the hole. It sits central with the groove, very very slightly forward of the top one on mine.

Guys this is horrible... I've had this on order at BBTS and have been looking forward to this piece most for years!! Seeing all these photos of how bad the paint is, how off it sits on the base, and ppl already repainting and drilling holes in a $300+ product is sad to see. Sideshow has their head too far up their *** to see how bad they're lack of quality and communication has been with their customers that it's killing the business. It's people like us who bought and raved over their products that put them on the map and now it's all about a quick buck. Becoming too corporate for their own good. Not sure if I wanna keep this on order and go through the trouble of returning it... Could probably find a better one for half the cost on hunterslair
