No problem...I used one of this big plastic envelopes in smoke brown/black.

I cutted the new visor from that. You must cut it out a little bit bigger on the borders, because you must hind it under the mask there.

I still have the drawing for the visor..but I have no idea how I can scan it in the right size for you.If you have an idea I can send you the scan.No problem.

My plastic was not dark enough for my taste so I sprayed it darker with Tamiya "smoke"for polycarbonate on the matt side.I used silicon remover first...after that plasticprimer...and 30 minutes later the Tamiya "smoke"(PS-31).Let it dry for a night and its so permanent that you can bend the acryl.
I used what I had at home...when you can become a darker plastic or don´t want it so dark you don´t need to paint it.

Ok now you must put the visor in the eyes.Start at the nose section and push the new lense very careful in the eyes.Don´t buckle it!You will see it later when you have lights from the side! But when you destroy a lense its not really a big thing to cut a new one!:wink1:

The good thing about this mod is,that you must not paint or destroy the original SS mesh. When you wanna sell the mask later you can remove the black lense and you have the mint condition.

Same with my black wash in the blastinmarks..the SS prototype has it.So the mask looks like on the promopics!

It's amazing how this $350 bio looks after you fix the magnet so you can display it, change out the lenses and repaint it the right colour.

+black paint 0,20$
+plastic envelopes 0,60 $
+2 little p. of velcro 0,20$
1 Hour work 50,00$

Thanks, Kroenen77. I really appreciate it :)

Mine will be coming next month I think. Hopefully.

I was planning on coming in from the back, but this dark tint plastic seems like a much easier and cheaper solution and looks almost as good. Think I may give it a shot.

I´m pleased with my mask now.The only thing I would do in the future is to fill the hollow base with cement or something like that. But I have no idea if its open or not under the big sticker under the base?

I really hope sideshow is reading this here...if I would not like the sculpt so much and was waiting for a good predator 1 mask so long...I had not made the updates.

Listening to you Sideshow will be grinning...
'If only all our customers stopped complaining and fixed them' :D

I think that could be the last Biomask from sideshow.Their image is down about the Predatormasks. An inaccurate P2 and a P1 with a lot of qualityproblems. Not good.:gah:

But with a little bit technical skills the P1 is a nice mask to have. This could be the last licensed P1 mask for years..and has a very low number of 500.But not for everybody.:wink1:

I honestly think at this point the best thing that could happen would be for Sideshow to lose the license for Predator, at least as far as the rights to produce 1:1 scale replicas.

They've shown over and over again that they either lack the passion, or the skill required to pull it off. Not sure which is worse.
These most recent masks are full of defects, lousy paint jobs, rough castings, and cheap corner/cutting choices. (I only recently found out about those Scar Predator masks... Paper lenses?? Wow!)

I understand Sideshow is one of the companies camping on the Alien and Predator license and keeping others from taking a shot at it. That is a damn shame.

I could only imagine what we could see from a hungry and passionate company like Chonicle Collectibles. Seeing the way they are handling the Tippett Robocop replicas and the Stargate props... Imagine the same quality, passion and artistry put into Alien and Predator.

Damn shame. :gah:
