Gutted I missed out on the discount, never knew about this and I was busy the day there was a discount, typical.

On the statue itself, its not a perfect piece, we know the problems and price with it, but? in terms of its pose, its height, the weight it still is an amazing predator statue, it defiantly has a presence and with it being my fave predator I had to get it. Cannot believe I underestimated how fast this will sell, maybe something to look out on when Darth Vader is released in the summer. Since I do collect movie statues, how could I not miss out on this? if I can find good repaint artists maybe I can ask someone to redo the unmasked head

The only problem they have the NRD on the regular, which would make it almost pointless doing it. I do not mind paying the full price since I do want a predator statue to build up my movie statue collection, 240 would be nice, but? will keep to it now

Ok, no one expected proto quality but come on! I could of done a better job painting the head.
Was never going to match the proto but something close would of been nice.

The most worrying thing is it looks like their 'Production Piece' pictures are now being manipulated to get people ordering.

To be fair that picture I posted of Proto, Production & in hand was awful compared to what we've seen since.
If the same person painted mine it will go back.

If I got a 10% pop up I would of alerted others but not ordered.
When I saw 20% I nearly fell off my chair

I've loved this piece since SDCC 2013? What followed made me decide it wasn't worth $1,200 plus postage/duty of my money.
Discounted price is worth a punt.

My plan was always to see if the Reg went on offer so this is a huge bonus.

I came home really late last night and just caught up with this thread, too bad I missed out on the 20% code I would have ordered it.

Congrats to everyone who got it especially for international collectors, $1000 shipped for the EX is amazing deal, I would've ordered it too, no brainer.

Hopefully they would not cancel the order, saw on facebook there are many angry posts from people who paid the full price, it looks like they all will complain to Sideshow, Sideshow will have their ears full on Monday lol, well I don't blame them I would demand the discounts too.

This statue has been a drama since day one, and it gets more interesting each day lol.

I guess I won't own this piece, I can't put myselff on the waitlist and pay full price plus CA tax when I knew I could've got it for a lot less. And I don't really want this statue that much to settle for the regular even with the 20% discount code. Oh well I think I'll be content with my cinemaquette, p1 and wolf.

Maybe it has something to do with how nice this piece actually looks despite everything...it really is an impressive predator piece that has a lot of presence, no matter what people come up with to convince themselves not to buy it.
If everyone are guided by near-to-perfect paintjobs,accuracy,well propotioned sculpts,poses,etc nobody would have the cinemaquette or SS P1 maquette predators in their collection,believe me...it is what it is and I know many will be kicking themselves later on cause this could very well be the last large predator statue for an affordable price...
Cinemaquette predator,P1 maquette predator,Wolf lsf and this P2 maquette are all very nice statues with many issues.

Yeah, they should have just sculpted a turd and called it Predator 2.

From what I understand...if you add an item to the cart and then wait it can trigger a discount code to pop up. The code can vary from item to item. Typically it's 5-10% off. The 20% they did on the Predator EX is a large discount and I imagine it was geared towards selling them out fast.

Add to cart, wait and see if a pop up comes.
I always try it on older pieces but as said the Ex is usually gone by then.
