Freaked Out
So, u got it 2 times customised..It's a thing of beaty. The factory body sculpt is gr8 so i guess u had to do wht u had to do...
SS inconsistency is infuriating. sigh.
All I can do is shake my head in disappointment.
So, two months after first contacting CS about my poor quality P2 maquette, my replacement has just arrived. Totally cool, I don't mind waiting at all as I'm patient and we got there in the end, I also appreciate the new system has bugs that needed working out. Aliesha and Belen were both really great to deal with when they finally got hold of my case, great guys all around! Happy enough with all of that.
Also, I'd given a list of all of the issues my first one had and the replacement was inspected before shipping to me (confirmation of this inside the box) so no worries. I opened it with the usual beaming smile on my face and it was soon wiped off....
I'm not going to say much today because I am very much aware that I am talking out of frustration and I really don't want to say anything I'll regret up that will offend anybody. I like Sideshow, I mean I really like sideshow. But there comes a point where you have to ask is this acceptable? Is is acceptable on a low end piece, never mind a $1200 premium collectible?! I'm just totally deflated, I'm wondering why I even bother with this hobby tbh as it is always the same. My Big Chap LSB was a mess, I kept that thread alive with excitement for over a year but ultimately ended up without one as I had to accept the refund and lost the import duty I paid. My P1 bio didn't even have magnets in it and wouldn't connect to its stand, I took the refund rather than risk another and I lost the Tax & duty + whatever extra charges we get our end for that also, a weeks wages wasted and missed out to boot. I paid £200 duty on this thing and I think I'm about to lose that as I'm not sure I'll be helped out for a second time, if you can call this replacement help... And I still feel like I'm in some way in the wrong or an inconvenience every time I message with an issue, that's why I kept my scratched up Warrior LSB with a broken tendon. It's just not fun.
I haven't even taken it all out of the box yet, so who knows what else is waiting, for now, here is the main body of the maquette. Who is putting this stuff together? Genuinely? They simply don't care one bit.
The armour is not even attached close to the body and doesn't follow tit's contours at all, it is just ugly glue strings one side, which are very much set in place so it isn't as if I can just push it in. And his shoulder sling beneath his armor, warping it and pushing it out on the other side. The sling is pulled tight under the armour so wont budge into place. This in turn with the warped area where the sling connects to the top means the head doesn't fit properly as the dreads push against the raised armour. I mean what do you even say to this really? I'm not even angry, but I couldn't be much more disappointed at the minute. I have several of the 1/4 Necas, they aren't really comparable products of course but they all have a consistent quality without even the slightest hint of excess glue or paint chips like this has in abundance. And they cost less than a tenth of this thing so it's hard not to compare them and ask questions. I don't know, I'm putting it back in the box for now, I'll build it up tomorrow or later in the week and speak more then. From day one, this piece has been the most frustrating statue in the history of collecting....
While we're at it, would it really hurt to use a rod as a starting point for stuff like spears? Also this one has a weaker magnet than my first, it is pretty much unusable.
