That blade looks nothing like it does in the movie which Hot Toys captured pretty perfect.

Even NECA got it right with their figure.

This statue looks bad ass. It's a shame that it's 1/5. But nothing new in that... Would be cool with something like this as a PF or something. I love this pose.

If you believe Hot Toys, they're "supposedly" coming out with their own P2 Elder predator figure. When that is or what scale (1/4 or 1/6) is still TBD. Rest assured, when that day comes, you'll be able to reproduce this pose on the figure.

Would this pose be achievable though? I don't think it would to the degrees on the statue.

The blade is just... how the hell could they mess it up?
I'm also not a big fan of the dreads. They just look weird at the bases, almost as if they were balloons.

Omg why 1/5 again, I already start all the 1/4, doesn't want any different size.

Wow, they gave him the wrong sword? :slap At least it's AN accurate sword.

Kinda makes you wonder sometimes when a company of this calliber does stuff like that if they deliberately do it so that collectors never have the ultimate, definite, buy it once and never again version of something.

Or is that what happens when you start to set passion aside and worry more about the money you're going to make? The executive curse.

that's pretty minor to me, except for the mandible ring. All the other things don't bother me, but the ring is very important piece to the Elder look, I will prolly wait and see with this one. Don't you collect HT Preds? Almost all of those are way more inaccurate then this, and they aren't much cheaper.
Oh I agree, the mandible ring (and whatever's bugging me about the head sculpt) is the only real thing I'm bothered by. It's one of his key features.

I'm just saying, when you go out to make a $300 statue, I don't understand how you can ignore these certain things.

I know he has quills..but nah, too much trouble.
I know he has the targetting device above his caster..but nah, too much trouble.

And now that it's apparent they went with a DIFFERENT Lost Hunter's weapon for him, instead of his own..it shows that they just obviously don't give a damn...

Idunno, the statue looks nice..but it just seems like they don't feel the need to make sure it's correct. It'd be like painting a Darth Maul statue orange instead of--oh wait..

I want to see more pics of the skull, I want to see if it's accurate or not. All in all, I hate 1/5 scale, but this looks pretty awesome, much better then the 1/5 P1, and we may never see another Elder statue. If it's 20in or taller, I'm in.

Can you explain to me why you have the hate for 1/5 scale? Across the boards it seems like such a common theme and i dont understand it. I have both PFs and Coms and love them both. For me size really doesn't play a part as long as the detail and what not is there plus the price.

Well, as I viewed these pictures I was amazed.. "This might be the first SS item I buy in a while."

..but then I saw the side view...

Looks like someone shoved his mouth/mandible area back into his face, and inflated his head. Looks like a pug...

This was definitely close though. Dunno why it's so hard to sculpt somthing accurately, and not forget the rings..

Hopefully new pics will change my mind, because everything else looks great.

I think some things look more accurate from certain angles in general most likely based upon the reference material they used. They may not have great 360 references and trying to fill in the blanks throws things off.

I really like the way this piece looks i just dont understand the missing piercing at all...

think so, who the hell remembers all of them.

umm............most people who collect Predator?

I'm gonna tell SS they sculpted the wrong weapon for this guy, they prolly don't even know. I'm gonna ask about the mandible ring too.........

for me and most people, they just prefer 1/4 or 1/6 because that's the scale most figures or statues have been made in. 1/5 scale has always been a odd scale. You have dios, 1/4,1/6, life size. 1/5 just doesn't mesh well with the rest imo. Most of my statues are in that 20in. tall (at the least) range, so if this is under that, I prolly won't want it.

Ah fair enough so its more of how it all looks in your display, not that you think the sculpts do not translate as well or anything like that.

Let us know if they say anything about the knife or piercing, but with the lack of response to the P1 spine trophy i am not too hopeful.

I'm going to try and get ahold of a live rep about it, I know just sending an email won't get a response more then likely. I think it will be kind of a big deal for a lot of ppl, to have sculpted the wrong Lost Hunter sword, and not add the mandible ring.

I feel like they could add the piercing easily but a new sword is prob out of reach without a lot of work to resculpt
