Haha! Typical. I'm in work tomorrow from exactly when the priority preorders start until exactly when they finish. So I doubt I'll be able to order either of these (Batman and Predator) off Sideshow unless theres somehow any left in stock after those times.

So Toys2 is most likely my best chance at a semi-normal price (even when Eric goes higher its still not quite ebay bad) Sometimes you just have to laugh.

To those who want Shadow, just to say that I decided to give up on Shadow. As an European person buying from Sideshow is very bad due to them shipping only by courier. If they took that into consideration and offered at least EMS shipping, things would be much better as the only tax that could be paid would be customs. By courier not only the customs tax is always paid but we also have to pay other taxes for the courier service.

In sum, I'm not willing to pay $225 (figure) + $25 (shipping by Fedex) + ~$70 (customs) + ~$50-$60 (courier taxes) = ~$370-$380 (this is for Portugal based on my previous experience)

Let me tell you that this is so unfair to European people (probably not the only ones). Sideshow could make it at least $50-$60 less by sending by EMS, and the customs tax would be likely but not certain, there would still be the chance of paying just $250.

So there ya go. Enjoy your Shadow Predator to everyone who can get them. For me it's just not worth it to buy from Sideshow if they keep using courier services like Fedex and UPS to send the goods to Europe.

It's really a shame all this exclusive BS as we only have Sideshow + Fedex or flippers on ebay as options. None is good for Europe.

One less person for the PPO.

what's so special about this shadow predator. It doesnt look that interesting compared to the other iterations. No armor, no mask, nothing, just a skull which has been done to death.

batman begins i can see people rushing to preorder and selling out quickly, but this thing at $220? i dont see what the big deal is.

nothing really. everybody just wants to get one because it's limited/exclusive. nobody would give a crap if it was just a normal release. they just want it because they think they'll put it up on ebay and hit the jackpot. it's best to skip this and not give scalpers the satisfaction.

I already own Berserker, Falconer, Tracker, Gort, Lost, AVP Elder, Wolf, and the original Pred, plus I have classic on order. I think that I've reached my predator saturation point.

here in Germany , VAT on the total amount incl shipping + 11.90€ fedex fee for re-paying the VAT.

so basicly 250$=175€ * 1,19 (VAT) = 208€ + 11,90€ (Fedex) = 220€/315$

wow, I would buy it if I were you. You have a decent predator collection. I wont cause I only own Predator1 and Berserker...Shadow wont fit with them at all. I will have to focus on main Predators, but your case is different IMHO.

i'm in exactly the same boat and i really want this pred for my P2 clan. i've not sold a hot toys figure yet, not since i started collecting oh so many years ago.

I'm back on the fence with this guy for exactly the reason you're all mentioning. He would go well with the Predator collection I already have.

I was already wavering every time I looked at the pictures.

Guess it'll be a game time decision come tomorrow. (Then again, there's no guarantee that I'll even get one if I try. I remember the GORT situation)

can you explain a bit more what's so special about the new improved body? Everything else is standard with all hot toy releases. The most recent one i got the berserker has incredible detail just like this guy but with much cooler accessories and lightup helmet.

I just dont see anything special with this predator, the accessories are also very lacking to say the least, it doesnt even come with a helmet!

I might consider it if there is something extra as a SS exclusive. The classic i have on preorder looks tons better with all the extra accessories for the same price. I mean lets face it, hot toy got the body and sculpture of the predator down to a science, the only things that really differentiate them are the accessories and their armor/weapon.

Mr. Black came with little to no accessories, a horrible head sculpt, and the LEDs don't even light up correctly. Can't forget the scraped scales either.

This guy is much more detailed, has a whole new body, whole new more ACCURATE head sculpt , more unique armor.. Awesome skull trophy accessory..etc
